Sam Bradford + picks traded to Philly for Nick Foles

The Rams should change their name to the Coyotes for the way they trick teams out of their picks.

For those that don't know the coyote in Native stories is the trickster. And if you live near them you'll know they're very clever. I watched one steal a bag of Doritos out of a work truck.

It's turning into a real train wreck over there in Philly.

Anyone seen Johnny Rockets?

I am just as confused as the next guy. I don't know what is going on but Chip is either a genius or an absolute moron. Guess we will start to find out come September. One thing is for sure, if whatever it is that he is doing fails it will all be on him and I'd hate to see how far back it sets the franchise.

Yeah I agree with you. I thought this was a bad trade for St. Louis until I saw the picks Philly gave up.

I think Bradford could be pretty good in Kelly's offense if he can stay healthy. Problem is, Kelly has already traded away his best WR, and RB. Considering Bradford's injury history, that's not exactly a recipe for success the way I see it. But maybe Chip knows better.

we will look back on this off season for Philly and either be amazed at what a genious Chip Kelly was or we'll have visions of when they found him hanging from the top of the liberty bell.  I can't see any of these moves being really good for the eagles...guess we'll see.

Would it make you happy for them to make giant stupid moves just to make headlines?

It would make several people on here happy...

The main ones bitching that we aren't doing anything, would be the first ones in line to crucify the man that made the moves, when everything comes crashing down.

Sam Bradford can't be the plan for Philly. He hasn't played on full season healthy since his rookie year. Philly has to have a plan in place to get Mariota.

It's as if they don't realize other people not only notice but remember how much they contradict themselves over time.

Reports are saying the Redskins have interest in Mariota at 5. My issue is why trade Foles to Rams. Instead why not get a deal for Foles to the Jets at #6 plus picks and put pressure on the Redskins if they really want Mariota.

I doubt the Skins really want him... smokescreen

    • How about if you don't like my choice of content, then don't click on the thread? We're discussing the NFL, not Pee-wee football. Until we start having "great" games on a continuous basis, I'm going to continue to talk all facets of the team. Moreover, I haven't seen X have a "great" game yet. Just like I supported patience last season, I have become critical this season. If it hurts your feelings, it just hurts your feelings. I've been on this board longer than most of you, and I've been a fan of the Panthers since before they stepped on the field, so don't tell me how to fan.
    • Speaking generally to this whole thing— I would say taking a play out of structure too soon isn’t always the riskier option with a higher reward. You’re crashing the call and going out of structure when maybe you didn’t need to. Attempting a premature escape does not inherently have a high reward. But yeah, it’s risky ball. Especially when your not outpacing IDLs. Sometimes the higher risk/reward option is staying in a crowded pocket, not letting it break down, stepping up and making the big time throw. Now, if we’re saying it’s impossible to judge, and there’s so many factors, it’s a complicated position to evaluate, sure but the saying something with so much certainty that his biggest weakness is that he’s too aggressive — I don’t, I just don’t see that. Like at all.  And nothing has really convinced me otherwise. You can’t just keep going on about how it’s so intricate and difficult to understand but be so certain about this one thing. And all that aside, pocket work, mechanics and footwork have been the flashing red sirens since day 1 more than physical traits (we drafted him knowing he was a historic outlier) - do we just not want to acknowledge it? It’s even been communicated straight from the horses mouth…the coaches and team saying what he needs to work on the most. I appreciate the perspective, but nothing here has convinced me Bryce is somehow this aggressive type. Still open, but I don’t see it
    • I think Egbuka is a very polished guy, for sure. TMac has some refinement that needs to happen. His ceiling is probably higher than Egbuka's but for that to matter you have to eventually reach it. I definitely don't have buyers remorse on TMac. Great pick.
