Sources tell me Eagles are now "very much" in play in the DeMarco Murray chase. Could be a Dallas-Philly showdown today

Every time I read something about the Eagles, I now hear circus music playing in the back of my head.

You know, the music they play when 25 clowns climb out of a car the size of a Yugo?.......yeah that music.

Breer made a good point on nfln just now. Kelly made the point in his presser as well, these are guys that would not be available if they weren't injured. Buy low approach. Some of these moves could come through. Bradford could explode. I love Alonzo. Mathews is a talented runner, sure he's often injured but not many backs aren't if you really think about it.

He's not buying low though.  He traded a young, healthy QB who has put up good numbers in his system plus valuable picks for an injury plagued QB.  He traded one of the most dynamic playmakers in the NFL in McCoy for a MLB coming off of a torn ACL.  That's not buying low.

Kind of like the Benny Hill theme song?

Browns re-signed WR Marlon Moore.

Cardinals
Cardinals re-signed LS Mike Leach to a one-year contract.

Eagles
CB Walter Thurmond receives a one-year, $3.25 million deal from the Eagles that can be worth $4 million with play-time incentives.
He also receives a $2 million signing bonus.

Giants
Giants re-signed FB Henry Hynoski to a two-year contract worth $2 million.

Jets
Jets are putting Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon through running back drills at his Pro-Day.
Jets did a lot of classroom/white board work with UCLA QB Brett Hundley on Wednesday and came away impressed.

Ravens
Ravens re-signed DB Anthony Levine to a two-year contract.

Saints
the problems that occurred between the Saints and TE Jimmy Graham after the team used their franchise tag on him created a fractured relationship between the two parties.

    • After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem
    • You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….
    • Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
