The Panthers absolutely need to give Jake Long an offer

The deal would be everything.

You could try something like they structured for Dan Morgan (essentially a 'game by game' deal) but I gotta believe his agent would absolutely hate that.

I think it'll ultimately come down to simply whether or not Long wants to keep playing because the only type of deal I see him getting is a prove it type deal.  I can't see anyone offering him significant guaranteed money unless one of these teams that has to spend to get to the cap floor rolls the dice offers him a front loaded deal that allows them to bring him in and spend the money they have to spend this year while not tying themselves up with long-term cap implications.

This offseason, I'm prepared to see pretty much anything.

Someone could offer him big, guaranteed money and I probably wouldn't be shocked.

Stale joke and literally no one in this thread is saying sign him to a huge contract.

You know what's stale?  Every time a player is cut and we have a thread that says "Let's sign this guy!" even though there is 0 chance it will happen.  This is what, the 10th "sign jake long omg" thread?  Stale?  Child, please.

To be fair, it did work with one guy.

Chris Hairston is still unsigned so there's a maybe. Again, another prospect who is shaky at best and identified more of a Right Tackle but as has been stated multiple times the field is thin. I know there was a discussion about him in All Pro. Pretty informative.

Every player in the NFL has question marks, honestly. It's very rare that you're like "Ah, finally, the perfect player."

I know most people will bring up Luke but I happen to know he enjoys the type of porn with men "drowning" anime figurines.

Luke could be having sex with blind kittens and I wouldn't say nothin'

Huge difference between signing a player that has already been on the team was wanted back by management but left because his price tag was too high, than signing a random player with no ties to the team.

The is the first one I've personally seen.  I guess that sounds stale too but you might as well kiss the baby if you expect it to stop happening.

The Madden thing is still undeniably stale.  You're better than that.

My biggest thing about this is, we trusted Gettlemen last year.  Where did that get us?  We were stuck with a wasted 13 million dollars in cap space, and two OTs that couldn't block traffic.  This year our OT situation hasn't improve much.  What I really fear is having Olsen in on max protection, and we never using his skills to it's max potential.  We got lucky last year as far as making it to the playoffs.  So my thing is let's cut the games and bring in a proven OT.  Yeah, he's been injured, but we are desperate if you ask me.
