Is Brenton Bersin really that bad?

This is not that hard to understand. .

Get a player that either is a better contributor on special teams or can turn that once in a while clutch catch into more than just a 1st down..

Your statement is just plain stupid and shows why the Madden generation of fans do not get it.

Wanting a guy who can make a splash play once in a while over a guy who is consistent and moves the chains. Just plain dumb.

Can you explain to me what classifies Bersin as consistent? He moved the chains like 5 times, maybe, over 18 games. Add in the muffed punts, poor ST decision making, and dropped balls (yes, there were a couple), and I don't see how his performance can be considered consistent.

2 things make this post real stupid..

1. To be considered a consistent "chain mover" you have to have more than 13 catches in a season! ! Wtf is wrong with your standards for a WR?? I could see if he had 40 to 50 catches and more than half went for 1st downs.. But 13 catches in a season. . And you talk like this guy is Anquan Boldin? ?

That is a example of a "consistent chain mover" Boldin..

2. Your reading comprehension is off. I said "change the (13 catch) guy who can't contribute on special teams.. To a guy who can actually, maybe, potentially take those (13 catches) to the house.. Or at at least make those (13 catches) and be big player on special teams"..

This is what I said genius..

Why are people still bitching about this? The guy is one of only 4 receivers on the year-end roster to actually catch a pass for us last year. And when he did it was usually for a first down.

He makes the minimum, doesn't even count toward cap space, and none of it is guaranteed so he can be cut with no repercussions.

People seem to forget we need 90 players for the offseason roster, and we're not even to 70 yet. God forbid we give one of the few guys our QB has experience with another shot to make the roster.

So he's cheap and makes 4 to 5 important catches a year so let's keep him..

Okay..m

People are to silly to see this guy potential and skill. Great route runner, good hands. I think he has 3rd WR potential. If that muffed punt is a case for him being a bad player, Cam inaccuracy should be paid attention to closely. All players make mistakes. As a WR he is decent.

We have 4 other receivers currently on the roster in Hill, Lucas, Presley, and Mike Brown who have done jack poo. Where are the threads complaining about them?

We don't know what they can do.. And to be real this coaching staff decisions on "putting the best player on the field" has been question more than a few times. .

But I wouldn't give 2 pennies if we signed better players at WR and they were gone as well..

Or maybe people are wanting and hoping to see something that isn't there.

You guys seem to like bashing a guy that if I'm correct in saying was basically a walk on player. So yeah maybe he hasn't had a lot of PR experience. Then again our ST really didn't give him much chance at returning to ball too

Again I'm going to asked these questions. .

Would he be on the roster of any other playoff team last year??

And What is wrong with wanting a better player...

Holy poo that was terrible! First time I ever saw it because no joke, I would LITERALLY walk out of the room everytime the other team had to punt to us, Bersin was just that bad. No, im not joking or saying thst just to say it. Literally walked out of the room and everytime like clock work

To be fair, how many panthers are in that video? How many Cardinals are in that video? Bad decision, but somewhere piss poor blocking. ST takes 11 guys folks, 11 guys.

    • The Seahawks won an emotional, divisional, overtime rivalry game vs the Rams on a Thursday night (Dec 18).  That gives them 10 days to prepare for the Panthers, but the Christmas holiday fell a week later--I bet they were afforded an extra day for travel-many coming back east.  Following the Panthers, Seattle plays at San Francisco for the division title (in all probability).   The Rams finish the season with games against the Falcons and Cardinals, two likely wins, pushing them to 13-4.  The Niners finish the season with home games against the Bears and Seahawks. Seattle finishes the season with the Panthers on the road and SF in California.   It is easy to see how preparing for the Panthers, during the holiday break and with the Niners waiting for them in SF a week later for (what could be) the NFC West title and #1 Seed in the NFC, could create the perfect trap game scenario.  The Panthers at home are 5-2.   In the past 2 weeks, the Seahawks struggled to beat the Phillip Rivers Colts in Seattle and then pulled off a miraculous, emotional victory at home vs. the Rams.  I am not convinced that they are as good as advertised. Seattle is a TD favorite in Charlotte.  I feel that Carolina by 3 may be more accurate.  While I am still not confident in this team's consistency and it never seems to dominate, it sure feels like a trap game for Seattle to me.  How could they NOT be thinking of San Francisco right now?  They are not used to being in this position (current players) and it is human nature.  Carolina 27, Seattle 24.
    • It is a tough decision.  There is another factor.  Is he in game shape?  A tired Hunt is not better than an "in-shape" Corbett.  When coming off an injury, it is natural to want to protect the injured area, even if it is completely healed.  This can cause you to contort your body for no reason, lose fundamentals, and it could lead to other injuries.  For example, I had a knee in high school that required getting taped.  That made me aware of the knee (not used to tape on my knee) and I pulled my groin (favoring or dragging the leg with the tape).  The trainer explained the groin injury the way I do here--but scared money makes no money.  If he is cleared to play, he is cleared to play.  Watch him, rotate him in for a series, etc.  Specifically, I would want to watch the matchup--who is winning more--Corbett or Hunt?  How is the defense reacting (if at all) to Hunt being in?  Etc.
    • Shannon was sued for $50 million (settled out of court, I believe) for forcing sex on his girlfriend during a two-year relationship.  He denies it, but ESPN let him go last April.  Chad Johnson's wife filed a police report because he head-butted her in a car and was put on probation. I had to google it.  I watched the Ray Rice video and when you see it, you realize just how vile and cowardly abusing a woman really is.  But for the same point Aussie tried to make, these women are defenseless, and being phyiscally bigger and stronger does not validate your actions.   I can't even stand to watch Steve Smith.  I can't normalize this kind of behavior--again, I do not think R-P had that in mind when he posted this.  When the reason was exposed, we should realize that we are talking life (quality of) and death (in some cases) here.
