Is Brenton Bersin really that bad?

Every player, even the fifth receiver on the depth chart, must be an all pro level player or it proves the front office doesn't care about winning

Hard to make the case you care about winning when Bersin is your primary target in the Redzone with Olsen and KB on your team.

So either they don't care or they're incompetent

He would be a decent WR with Tom Brady, we found that out with Brandon LaFell( thats why he sporting that big rock)LOL

If you go look at Brandon Lafells numbers, he got better every year. He could have just as easily had that type of impact here if he held on to the ball. It's up to coaches to get the best out of their players.

You realize that happened for one play, right?

Every team in the league has substitution packages that put backup receivers in primary spots.

You make it sound like they were targeting Bersin on the majority of snaps all year.

On a critical play in the game, he can't be the guy. It can't happen, and it doesn't happen if you have more talent at the position. Should have ran the ball if the other guys were tired.

He's bad in our offense. If we played 4 or 5 wide he could take advantage of less skilled defensive backs in nickel and dime packages. But we quite often run three receivers against 5 defensive backs and he can't separate from coverage.

Against the Falcons Cam thew to him, he was wide open and the ball arrived in stride. The defensive back closed distance on him as if he were in quick sand and broke it up. If you put Ginn in that same position, he maintains his separation. Although you would feel less confident he catches it.

2 things make this post real stupid..

1. To be considered a consistent "chain mover" you have to have more than 13 catches in a season! ! Wtf is wrong with your standards for a WR?? I could see if he had 40 to 50 catches and more than half went for 1st downs.. But 13 catches in a season. . And you talk like this guy is Anquan Boldin? ?

That is a example of a "consistent chain mover" Boldin..

2. Your reading comprehension is off. I said "change the (13 catch) guy who can't contribute on special teams.. To a guy who can actually, maybe, potentially take those (13 catches) to the house.. Or at at least make those (13 catches) and be big player on special teams"..

This is what I said genius..

Only one thing makes that post stupid.....and that is that it was made by WOW.

Great retort by Madhatter..

Why don't you just admit ..

"I was stupid for calling a person with 13 catches in a season a "consistent chain mover" because it's obvious with only 13 catches he didn't move many chains"..

Especially considering some "consistent chain movers" actually make 13 chain moving catches in 1 game..lol

Great point..

If we were a different offense and he was the 4th options on a lot plays than he might be worth keeping around. .

The NFL Draft has a lot of good receivers in it this year.
