Greg Hardy to the Cowboys

Recommended Posts

Honestly best scenario possible that didn't involve him resigning with us. High salary so comp pick likely, lesser of the reported 3 evils interested, and it's only one year so next year when our books are in order we can afford to bring him back while he's still young. Calling it now, next year's big splash FA addition is the Kraken :)

I was wrong, here's how it's being counted:

Hardy roster bonuses, past Game Two, are NLTBE (not likely to be earned), based on 2014, count if earned after end-of-year reconciliation.

So I guess that means his cap number is $2.64m for the entire year, then is reconciled at the end of the year for however many games he played?

But he gave up playing next to Gerald McCoy and Henry Melton in Tampa to be next to Nick Hayden and Terrell McClain in Dallas. Why would he ever want to leave the Cowboys after this season?

Now THAT is some magic right there. So if he balls out next year and they don't have the cap space to pay for the newly recalculated cap hit then so what? It's not like there is a penalty for being over the cap. You just have to be under it on the day the new year starts. That is some brilliant sh1t right there.

EDIT: And if there is a penalty then why wasn't New Orleans hit with it when they were like $24M over the cap 3 weeks ago?

Where did I imply that? You need a hooked on phonics marathon

The use of profanity is a device that adds strength to a statement. A statement in which you alluded to the fact we need Ealy to step up. Hence...It must be uber important for Ealy to play well or we are, as you so eloquently stated, fuged.

So yeah. Evidently, you think it is either Ealy steps up, or we are done. Maybe you should read, or better yet, think about, what you type. Nah, that would be asking too much.

Or...it could just be me giving a goofy comment to much attention.

    • Appreciate you, brother!  I know it was lengthy, but I felt whoever actually read it would appreciate it.
    • Damn good take, brother.  I think I take that poo personally because (sidebar: I don’t like to use narcissist often because social media has made it a buzzword and diluted the meaning, so when I use it, I don’t take it lightly) I grew up in a home with a raging narcissist, then married a narcissist and just came out of a divorce after a 20 year marriage with her, where afterwards she met and married another narcissist.🤣  And in my dealings with them, over my 41 years on this earth, at times I took great delight in breaking down their arguments point by point and forcing them to either acknowledge their wrongs and take ownership of them or watch them yammer and stammer away when they ran out of lies and excuses.  At various points, that was extremely satisfying, but ultimately, which I’ve realized especially after the last 3 years and going through the divorce and everything, it does NOTHING to them.  It doesn’t affect them one way or another.  For a logical, reasonable, grounded person, you would think calling them in their poo will bring it to their attention when they’re face when nothing but facts and truth and force them to change, but nope.  Not in the slightest.  They just disassociate from the ones who do that and find more people who will validate their behaviors and thinking.  poo pisses me off because they’re so destructive and couldn’t care less so long as their needs are met.
