On free agency and the locker room:

- Still uses free agency to set up the team to be able to take best available player in the draft. Feels we are "darn close" to being able to do that.

- Not every guy can be a probowl player but you have to understand each player's niche and how that helps the team get better.

- Feels it is important to send a message to the locker room that if you play well and do the right things, we will take care of you (says this in reference to Greg Olsen's new deal).

- Says that last year when we were 3-8-1 if the locker room was toxic, we would have finished at 3-12-1. But we have a strong locker room that believes in Rivera and in what we do.

On Michael Oher:

- Not a good fit in Tennessee

- Oher has a great relationship with John Matzko and loves how he teaches techniques of the position

- Went back and watched 3 years of film on him and felt that coaching changes were an issue in his play along with injuries.

- Feels like there are two types of guys on your team when you win a Superbowl: Guys you win because of and guys you win in spite of. Really felt Oher was a guy the Ravens won because of (and he was playing left tackle during regular season).

- Feels very good about the signing and having him projected to start.

On Jonathan Stewart and running back depth:

- Feels Stewart really finished the season strong

- First time in 3 offseasons that Stewart hasn't had to have a surgery of any type.

- Really likes Fozzy. Loves his 3rd down abilities and credits his running ability as well.

- Understands depth is an issue but says it will be addressed in the draft (so we know we are targeting a RB at some point).

Solid, wish I could've listened. The thing I love most about this team is they truly keep pounding and fighting no matter what our record is or how bad things are going. No other team in the league would've finished the way we did if they were at 3-8-1 with 2 months without a win and many blowout losses.

The season is too far away to start getting me amped up.

hearing him talk about Oher gets me excited. i really hope he bounces back here.

no doubt our coaching staff and locker room is strong, look at how hampered we've been the past few years and how we've managed to compete despite it. we've been winning the South with one hand tied behind our back and standing toe to toe with Seattle and other top teams. the determination is here and the winning culture, never say die attitude is here, wait til this team gets unleashed in the next few years.

Oher played right in Super Bowl.

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
