Running backs other than Gurley

Captain Morgan

You didn't even mention my favorite guy, Abdullah :)  Though if Gurley's all healed up he's an absolute monster and far and away the best prospect since AP.

Seriously.  Putting our needs aside and how much people harp on the whole drafting a RB deal, this class has got me the most excited about the position along with the DTs and CBs.

Gurley is incredibly overrated. Granted he has amazing burst, he also has a history of injuries. Even without him in the lineup, his backup Nick Chubb was able to fill his role without missing a step. I would rather us take a player at another position at 25, but if we are to draft a RB, my choices would be Duke Johnson, Abdullah, Karlos Williams (not after the domestic violence issue however)

How do injuries make him overrated? He is easily the best RB in this draft and Nick Chubb was just as highly rated as Gurley coming out of high school.

The injuries don't make him overrated, I am saying that he has a history of injuries and that he has been heralded as the next Adrian Peterson or the best RB in the new pass-heavy era since before last season. He is a good player but I disagree that he is easily the best RB in this draft. If both are healthy, I would take Duke Johnson before him any day.

RB Zach Zenner is 3rd highest combine RB Sparq - had 6500

rushing yards and 8200 all purpose at South Dakota State, 5-11,

223 lb.

I keep reading about the guy and I must say I am impressed. Some say that he will have to be a Fullback but he has the talent to be a good running-back. So many good RB prospects it's hard to go wrong with anyone. I hope we can find a quality RB in this draft.

I will remember this post for this time next year.

You will see how silly it is.

I would be more inclined to believe that he is overrated based on the terrible SEC defenses but even that is ridiculous. Gurley has a special talent and if you don't recognize that then I don't know what you're looking at. Will he be an all pro? Who knows, but right now, today, he's the best running back in the draft, and it isn't that close.
