Oddly enough Trusnik is also a LBer and we needed depth there at MLB and he will compete to start at OLB.

Ginn also plays WR and brings the speed we needed there and can win vertically.

Coleman will challenge Boston in camp and may even start over him.

Todman has the speed and quickness we don't really have at the RB position right now and will compete for snaps on offense as a second or third RB.

so yeah, I'm perfectly cool with bringing in special team studs that will compete elsewhere at positions of need. Step of the ledge.

When your ST unit is directly responsible for 2-3 losses, then you need to overhaul the whole group. I'm sure they are overloading now only to keep the best of the bunch. Don't panic.....D.G's got this.

The only strictly special teamer that has been signed is Teddy Williams. All of the other signings have shown they are just as good at their position as the guys who were on the roster last year that didn't play special teams well. Gettleman is replacing bottom of the roster backups that are decent with bottom of the roster backups that are decent but also excel on special teams.

I think it's a great pick up. As others have said, ST looks to be a phase of strength now and most of these guys can compete for solid back up or even starting jobs. I love it.
