USC WR Nelson Agholor has private visit with Panthers today

I feel like chip kelly is gonna want him

Eagles have worked him out twice according to Aaron Wilson, @RavensInsider, and he is as close to a Maclin clone you are going to get and they just lost him. It's definitely a possibility and I wouldn't be stunned to see him gone at 20, but the word is that Chip really prefers to have big WR's that stretch the field vertically so I can see Perriman being a legit possibility for them in the 1st as well. If Chip goes with another position in the 1st and Agholor is available in the 2nd then I think we would have to move ahead of Philly if we really want him.

If we end up taking Nelson Agholor at #25 over Jaelen Strong, I'm going to throw an intense hissy fit.  Just fair warning.

Agholor is better, and a better compliment to KB. Strong is severely overrated on this board. Ball skills nowhere near what people claim them to be, can't separate, and plays small far too often.

Strong is one of the most polarizing prospects I can remember. There are well respected football guys who just love him and think he is a surefire top 15 player and there are well respected football guys that think he is wildly overrated and shouldn't even be considered until the 3rd round. I lean more towards the latter camp, but I really understand the argument from both points of view.

I could not possibly disagree more.

Completely understandable. I've seen almost every snap Strong has played, and he's just not a difference maker to me. I think Agholor can be if utilized correctly, and no....that's not a "USC" thing. That's a "taking his skill set and looking how it fits" thing.

    • People really need to stop placing Dan Morgan on some kind of infallible pedestal. He is absolutely in lockstop with Tepper regarding Bryce and has been all along. As far as the team being okay with 185 passing yards per game. We better have a proven monster RB in our backfield then. Presently that guy is not on the roster. Chuba has one outlier season so far and the other guys have proven nothing. Not what you would call a great recipe. The only thing we can hope at this juncture is that the highest paid OL in the league for the second year in a row elevates their play from last season and opens up some massive holes even our RB's can get through. But it still doesn't resolve the issue of predictability. With no viable passing game it is much easier to shut down any run game. No defenses are scared of Bryce's arm. It is what it is.
    • i lived in Atlanta from 84'to 92' & back then it was indeed a very different time without the internet & access to information 24/7. shortly after i moved back home to western NC around 93' or 94' the Carolina Panthers were awarded an NfL franchise & began their inaugural season in 95' so ike you i have seen the Carolina Panthers, ,the NFL ,technology, fans all evolve over the many a moon & years now some for the better & others not so ...just saying
    • I wouldn't even bet on us winning the NFC South. All four teams had excellent Drafts.
