The Panthers are a candidate to trade up for Andrus Peat, DJ Humphries or Cedric Ogbuehi

Trading up in the first is usually fairly costly. Truth is, this OT draft class is about as mediocre as you can get. Last year's class was supposed to be strong and no one emerged as dependable starters.

Its hard to expect OT rookies to be ready out of the gate, so Im willing to wait. Considering its doubtful we get a year-1 starting OT anyway, I dont think its smart to trade up.

Plus, who knows if any OTs shake out of next years FA class. We got Martin and Oher. They may be fine For this season and there are viable T's in the later rounds like Chaz Green, who I like ptettyuch just as much as Humphries.

Who knows...we'll see.

I'd puke if we traded up in the first for Ogbuehi. He allowed 7 sacks last season. That is horrible for a 1st round offensive lineman. And add to that his ACL injury i wouldnt touch him in the 1st and i would definitely not move up to grab him.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
