General Draft Rumors and Chatter

Mr. Scot

Petty actually makes a lot of sense to the Saints in 1st round because 1st rounders have the 5th year option and since Petty is developmental guy and Brees will likely be playing for at least 2-3 years they may need the option to really decide if he is their guy.

Good point.

Check NFL.com for latest on Browns trying to trade a 1st for Bradford

Reports are that Bradford hasn't been all that cooperative with the trade idea.

I'm actually surprised I haven't seen the Saints mocked more WRs. They lose Graham and Stills, have an aging/useless Colston, and Cooks showed spurts but was hurt. Wouldn't be shocked at all if they go WR honestly, and let the defense be poo as usual.

Really? It's been one of the more common scenarios that I've seen. Most mocks I've seen have them going EDGE at 13 then WR at 31. Though with the Petty news emerging that may move the projection for picking a WR to their 2nd round pick which is where a lot of value for WR is.

IMO, the HUGE red flag is that as far as I know he still hasn't met with the police and the police have no clue where he is.  I would think that if he thought he could go in there and quickly get this thing cleared up and his name officially cleared, he would've been down there ASAP.  He had enough time to get down there and talk to them before the draft.

Thank you.  With the sense of urgency-something that could cost him millions--you would think he would have been there all night.

I think this story is just beginning.

He is not happy.  NFL Network thinks he would be there for a year if traded.

However, he is in Philly, where the coach that traded for him is having a yard sale to get enough to bring in another QB from his Oregon program.  Go figure.

The Titans could seriously milk an insane deal from it.

Please Eagles shoot yourselves in the foot and suck ass for the next decade.

Their GM said they have about 16 players with 1st round grades, and they won't move out of the first half of the round.

The Philadelphia Eagles are doing "all they can" to trade up from their No. 20 pick to get Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota, according to Pro Football Talk. Philadelphia could be exploring a three-way trade with Tennessee and Cleveland that would ship quarterback Sam Bradford to the Browns, the Browns' two first-round draft picks to the Titans, and the Titans' No. 2 pick to the Eagles.

lmfao 2 first rounders for Sam Bradford?

I wouldn't put it past the Browns...

Not good with Collins being taken off the board of so many teams, just means less OTs will be there for us because teams will reach for others.

Trade back?

I'm 100% for trading back, but I think there will be a lot of teams that feel the same in this draft.  Not much to get excited about in the 1st, but there's very good value past that.  Finding someone that would even want back in the 1st could be nigh impossible.

Word now that since the Titans have been asking for a king's ransom for the number two pick, the Eagles might actually try to trade for the number one instead.

Seriously doubt that happens. The Bucs appear set on Winston.

Mind you, if it did, there would probably be a riot in Tampa.
