Point is, you can only rely on your defense so much.

 

I'm not saying don't invest in defense. But if the playoffs showed us anything last year, it's that we need firepower to keep up with Seattle.

 

When the time came for the Seahawks to score points, they did. Our offense struggled. Why? You can figure it out.

 

Actually last year's playoff loss showed we needed our elite 2013 defense back. If Hardy and Star play that game, we win it.  We put up more than enough points to win the game, but didn't stop their offense.

You need an entire team to win, its going to be the same thing next year. Our offense goes three and out, defense stays put till the 4thQ by then they are exhausted of being on the field all day, and we end up losing.

Like I said do you want to pay Cam 100 million to be a game manger?

2)when the league gears up in pass defense, doesn't it make sense to run the ball. If all the opponent can do is block head shots, makes sense to hit him with body shots

3)If you really feel its a team sport, then why are you pressing so hard for weapons for Cam? Took one in 1st Rd last year.

4)Defense wins Championships! Still true. We have a Defense so good that they only allow a max 10ppg, then we win 13, lose 1, and go into OT in 2 others. We also win both playoff games! Our stronger coaching staff is Defense. Play to your strengths

5) I don't care how much Cam is paid, W's and L's should not rest on his performance alone. 24 or 44 points? That can be the difference he makes

A defensive unit that can make all the hard stops and create turnovers with defensive scores will/can do just as much, if not more, than any offensive weapon. Taking pressure off Cam to make the big play allows him to play better.....the way he does in the first half of most games.

So stop with the "this doesn't help Cam" crap

We already had top defense and we still can't get over the hump . Just look at what Russell Wilson done to us. We need to build the offense and become more balanced team.
