Can someone help me find the Newton vs manning stats?

Might as well forget it, no pats fan will listen to sound logic. I have a sister in law who is and only knows of tom brady and no one else on the team but will try to argue that cam sucks and that they made lafell. Even though both teams use different playbooks, personel, etc and that lafell was asked to do more here than there.

I made this one a while back and forgot about it. I guess this summer would be the time to catch up on all the requests:

Cam Newton:
1,144 / 1,923 (59.5%)
14,426 Passing Yards
232.7 passing yards per game
82 TDs, 54 INT
2,571 Rush Yards
33 Rush TD's
115 Total TD's
85.4 Rating

Tom Brady:
1242/2015 (61.6%)
13,919 Passing Yards
220.4 yards per game
97 TDs, 52 INT
244 Rush Yards
2 Rush TD's
99 Total TD's
87.5 Rating

I love Cam but comparing him with Manning is a lost cause.

Peyton has been top 5 in passing yards and td every single year since his rookie season I believe.

Peyton's first 4 and Cam's first 4 years are VERY comparable if you actually look at the numbers.  And that was with Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark...not to mention Edgerrin James...

Comparing raw stats from different eras is pointless. Anyone paying attention knows it's gotten easier and easier to throw the ball over the last 10-15 years. Only remotely fair comparisons are maybe their rankings against their peers in those stats but just numbers vs numbers doesn't prove anything except we're in an era catered to the passing game.

Yea I think 2 or 3 guys threw for over 5000 yards on 2013. It happened like 3 or 4 times ever before that

The most simple way to this whole thing: NO, Cam is not as good as Peyton.

Move yourself and your stats along.

I'm a Vol who bleeds Orange had have zero doubt you will turn that statement around in a decade. Cam already has a Heistman (as they say in TN) and crystal football in one year which Peyton didn't do in 4. Cam's father wasn't an NFL QB and Cam didn't play big time college football for 4 years. With an embarrassing lack of weapons and protection, Cam's first four years of NFL football are just the tip folks.

    • Per Bill Barnwell  Broncos part ways with a CB on the roster bubble Broncos get: 2026 seventh-round pick Panthers get: CB Damarri Mathis The Broncos have a rare problem among NFL teams: too many cornerbacks. ESPN's Jeff Legwold projects they could move on from Mathis, who was very good as a rookie in 2022 before losing his starting job after the defense's slow start in 2023. He played just 27 defensive snaps after Week 6 that season and 80 more across 10 games in 2024. With the Broncos using their 2025 first-round pick on cornerback Jahdae Barron, they could justify moving on from Mathis, who might not be active on game days even if he sticks around. Mathis' best season came with defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero in Denver, and he hasn't been able to reach those same heights since Evero left for Carolina. The Panthers are set with Jaycee Horn, Mike Jackson and nickel corner Chau Smith-Wade as their three starting corners, but Mathis could push the 28-year-old Jackson and serve as Carolina's primary reserve on the outside. Mathis is owed $3.4 million in 2025, so Denver might essentially buy a draft pick by eating some of that cash, similar to what the Commanders did when they sent running back Brian Robinson Jr. to the 49ers.
    • They can get fuged for a 6th and 7th. Doesn't make sense for us for anything less than a 4th and them paying a majority of his salary.
