Rematch Superbowl

It'll be this all over again:newtonbreakinganklespatsside.gif?w=406&h

The most impressive thing about this clip to me is #54 getting juked out of his shoes in the backfield then staying with the play, running 20 yards downfield and tackling Cam. Ridiculous effort on his part. Props.

Still left his jock in the backfield though.

Man, that was when our offense was borderline offensive too.  But the offensive line was 10X better.  Just the weapons or lack there of were not.

My prediction is panthers vs jets superbowl. Two underated teams this is the year we finally got cam some weapons and have a stacked wr core. Jets on the other hand got a good defense and if petty can beat out geno they might have something there . I believe this is our year and cam is going to want to perform and get a superbowl so he gets that big contract.

What I also find unacceptable Bell didn't finish his block on #54, which resulted in him making the tackle. Glad that heap of turnstile poo is gone from the team.

We aren't going anywhere near the SB until Shula is gone. We can win the south with a 9-7 record and will, win a home playoff game, then crap out again.

That being said, this is the perfect opportunity for the league to rig it yet again for Peyton to get another ring and head off into the sunset.

Jesus Tap dancing Christ, you people just don't give it a rest. This is a vastly improved offense to last year and to the offense that went 12-4 the year before. This team can be super successful with Shula at the helm of the offense - like it or not.

I believe with Stewart shouldering the load as the feature back, KB with a year of NFL experience under his belt, the addition of Funchess and Ginn to the passing game, and what looks to be a much improved o-line (at least on paper), that the sky is the limit with this offense.

Add to that what should be a monstrous defense, the Panthers should be a handful for every single NFL team out there. Can't fuging wait to start kicking the poo out of everyone on the schedule. Let's fuging get it!!!!

FWIW on PTI yesterday, Tony K asked Wilbon if Cam can be dominant. Wilbon said he thinks Carolina looks good and can win a SB but cam won't be looked at as dominant.

Pretty rational take and I, as a fan, think he can be dominant. Especially in light of an improved roster and improved health.

    • Bryce Young has been a tale of two QBs. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times. To use stats and film prior to returning from being benched is a little disingenuous. Completely different players. Like a new BY returned. You could actually see him trying something new every week, that he was afraid to do before - and being successful at it.  If he picks up this season where he left off, we'll have our franchise QB. And yes he was proficient against pressure. And yes he could throw the deep ball efficiently - with a couple of drops that NFL WRs shouldn't make.  If he reverts back to the unsure and conservative Bryce from the first two games and most of his rookie season, then we'll be drafting a QB in the first round in 2026. No one knows which we'll get yet. Not even Bryce. My advice would be to stay aggressive going down field. The FO appears to be bringing in receivers that can win the 50/50 ball. That opens up routes underneath. Teams stop blitzing as much and keep a safety over the top. Now what if they had to keep two? It's a lot tougher to defend the middle of the field with LBs than Safeties. I get what they're doing. BY just has to play that game. I think he will. He did in college.
