We have more than enough cap space next year to retain him if we want to. But yeah, i'd much prefer to see us extend him to a reasonable deal this off-season.

Yeah I'd love to see him locked up this offseason. You've got to think there have been talks, but obviously you can't lock up every good player on your team.

 

 

He could be in for a big pay day if the defense plays well for an entire season.

The reason that Gman will never spend big in FA is so that he can keep all or most of the young talent that we acquire through the draft. If he is just planning to let all of our top young talent leave through free agency, there would be no reason to shop at the dollar store in free agency

CJ and Kalil are only going to get cheaper against the cap in the next couple of years as well. In G-Man you should trust.
