Patriots accused of cheating (redux)

We took them to the wire. They cheated by stealing our plays. But we cheated by juicing on the o-line and that ridiculous punter Saurbraun. As much as I'd like to say we were robbed, and I do think we were, we cheated too so we can't bitch too much.

Filming from across the street is legal, steroids have never been legal. Panthers were the only cheaters in that Super Bowl.

What do you expect when they just get slapped on the wrist every time. If cheating cost multiple 1st round picks, high fines and suspensions then it would stop. Yet players like Hardy who may be crazy but only have been in trouble once get 10 games and players like Brady who have cheated multiple times only get 4 games.

Hell TD has been fined more for hitting people in the NFL than Brady and the Patriots have been for cheating.

Patriots have always cheated to get an advantage under Belichick. Anyone saying otherwise is a Patriots fan or believes coincidence is the norm in their day to day life. This was common knowledge back when the Panthers played the Patriots in the Super Bowl. The Panthers actually changed their hotels and bused themselves in to Houston because there was suspicion of the Patriots setting up recording devices around the Panthers hotel and practice facility. I am sure Ricky Proehl gave the Panthers the run down of what happened to the Rams pre Super Bowl when they faced the Patriots. It still infuriates Marshall Faulk.

The problem is they are not the only club that actively cheats with the coaching staff. The Saints, Seahawks, Steelers, Ravens, Colts, Falcons, Giants, Packers, and Buccaneers have all actively cheated from either their coaches or front offices (including owners). All the Super Bowl winning teams have cheated for some time to gain that unfair advantage. I can go all the way back to the Broncos of 1997 and the only team I can not nail for cheating (obtaining an unfair competitive advantage from the coaching or higher) is the Rams of 1999. Anything from an individual standpoint like PEDs or stick'em on gloves I am not considering.

I have been of the opinion that the Panthers must push the envelope of cheating to win against the top teams in the NFL. Not that I want that, but it is the only way to even the playing field. I would prefer a stiffer penalty for teams who believe in asking for forgiveness rather than permission. Banning them from the following years playoffs and stripping them of any games that were affected by the incident should stop this nonsense of acceptable cheating. Either that or just openly encourage teams to push the envelope until the NFL warns all teams for the remainder of the season. Then the stiff penalty of banning them from the playoffs and taking their draft pick occurs if they are caught. All investigations take 48 hours for a "more probable than not" finding.

I would even support banning coaches from the NFL for these type of offenses. They will still find a job easier than a player who is banned from the league for conduct detrimental to the league. Something needs to be done to dissuade teams from these "bending the rules" aka cheating tactics.

Unless an owner/coach believes in fair play, then who wouldn't cheat If you can cheat to win a Super Bowl, and then just take the punishment after your Super Bowl. It is like paying for an unfair advantage, but you still win and you are still champions.
