Should we trade Steve Smith?

I see your point in why trading Smith could be logical, but in all honesty, the last think Jake Delhomme needs right now is not having his best weapon on the field. It's years of playing together that put the two at their best. Not to mention, the knowledge younger receivers gain from being around him day in and day out play a big role on their way towards becoming great. Until Moore and Dwayne (if) become good every down receivers I can't see trading away Smith being a good move. When the Panthers need a big play in the air and a memorable celebration to jump-start the rest of the team, Smith will be that player. Without Smith, our receiving core will struggle to be average at best.

Smitty for Eric Shelton ( A.K.A "straight up runna") Kerry Colbert ( A.K.A. "slippery when wet") Dan Morgan ( A.K.A "solid as a rock") then line them up with Kasey and J. Baker then we could punt or kick anywhere on the field. I would however demand R. Lloyd be long snapper. Man think of the cap room!

I dont think there is a player I have ever seen with more raw energy, pride, and love for the game than the player known as Steve Smith. In my mind he is the greatest reciever (AFTER A CATCH) to EVER play the game. He is DEFINITLEY the most exciting and electrofying player in my mind to ever play, after Barry Sanders of course..

He has kept the Panthers running for YEARS, inspite of Jake Delhomme, and I want to keep him around until he cant play anymore, and I dont care how much of a drop off in play he has over the next 5 years. Why? Because even his bad play is better than Muhammed and Moore combined. But not just that ......

To me he is the greatest Carolina Panther of all time. I want to see him retire as one. If we get rid of him then the owner of the Panthers has non honor at all.

End of Line.

nO man... He is still in his prime and he has the work ethic of a greek God...

he is relentless....

lol....

I wasnt aware that Greek Gods were renowned for the work ethic. I always thought it was their body. Never heard anyone say, "Man, that Zeus really does work his ass off!"

:D
