given the cowboys record in away games vs home games maybe they would rather feel like the visiting team in their own stadium

Or could be a function of the fact that a significant portion of the Cowboy fanbase has never so much as set foot in Texas.

I am wondering how me growing up in Texas and watching the Cowboys, and my whole family cowboys fans is stupid? I have lived in NC since 1998. I really didn't know much about the Panthers until later years. I am a Cowboys by Heart, I also root for the Panthers..... I've been to more Panthers games, activities than I have Cowboys.... Sooo...

Also, I am a Cowboys fan that has been to Texas or lived in Texas many of them have not.

Best question to ask an obnoxious cowboy fan you run across in the South (I have done so many times): "ever been to Texas? " 90% of the time you'll get a no. A couple of follow up questions can eliminate most of the rest.
