The longest offseason

This sure as heck feels like it.

Honestly, if the team continues to acquire talent and improve, future years will probably seem even longer.

But looking at the big picture, I'll take that.

It has definitely felt that way for me. I took an extended break from the Huddle to clear away some of the insanity that comes along with it during the regular season... Almost a cleanse, lol. I'm ready to get back into the Huddle and back into football.

I remember feeling that way every off season.

Now that I have less time in my life overall, the off season flies by.

I have a new coworker that I have quickly befriended, and he's a Saint's fan. I told him today that he's the on Saint fan I've ever liked, so he better not waste the friendship!! LOL

I'm still more than ready for football, but that's  how I am, regardless of the time of year.

    • I think the qualification has changed over time though. A deep ball play used to take 4 to 6 seconds for the receiver to get to that spot on the field. Now a receiver can be there in 2.5. That's less time than most QBs have to set and throw. In my mind a deep route takes time to develop. A crossing route and a deep route can't take the same amount of time at full speed. You can have 4 deep balls on the same drive,  almost 5 if you do 5 20 yard throws goal line to goal line. That doesn't even make sense when you say it out loud.
    • The sad part is it looks manicured enough that he's aware it's running away from him.  Also, I just wanted to give you some fun loving grief on King Haynes today having a chance to throw a game winning TD, and was wildly errant, and ultimately picked off to end the game.  So happy I won't have to hear anything else about The Golden Calf of Bristol lite ever again watching college football.
    • I just think Panthers believe in Bryce far more than the fans do and he is most likely going to be the QB at least the next two seasons. the real shot of us moving from Bryce is not getting an extension, till then they are going to give him every chance to succeed and I just want to win.
