Mike Shula not worried about slow starts

For Shula, slow starts are the feature, not the bug.

and again, not trying to act like I love Shula.

But when Stewart and Brown are dropping balls and a "power" run team that everyone has endorsed the OL as being capable of offseason can't execute basics like against Miami.  That is a talent problem and lack of execution which would stall any OC.

Shula seems to get not just is share of the blame.....but everyone elses too.

OK fair enough.

Now about those 30 other times we got off to slow starts...

This is what I have discovered.  Basically I take whatever this board is most confident in heading into week 1 and most worried about.....and flip them.  Seems like a version of that happens a lot to open things up.

And again can somebody please tell me why we let go of Chudzinksi? I mean he wasn't the greatest but we had at least a top 15 offense and thinking we'd be okay with this guy? smh

The Panthers had nothing to do with "getting rid of" Chudzinski.

The Cleveland Browns hired him as their head coach.

Chud's reign of awesomeness went right through the drain when we dropped Shockey IMHO.

    • Dan's been part of 5 drafts, 3 as an assistant to the "last guy" and 2 leading the way. The first 3 with Fitts were pretty ugly overall. Last year's draft, his 1st, isn't looking hot. This year looking like a winner.  He's been part of some bad FA decisions, some good ones, and right now we have the most expensive OL in the league with our franchise LT on the last year of his rookie deal. That's going to get even more expensive.  I'm not ready to crown him as a GM god quite yet because one good year isn't making up for all the bad that's been done the previous 4.
    • It is what it will be. I’m over bitching about Young myself. It changes nothing about the situation to constantly complain about him so I personally am not going to do it. I’m looking for another target because this one is played out and it changes nothing.
    • I’m getting his jersey. I never buy jerseys. But today I bought 2 at the team store. I got a Delhomme and Peppers legacy jerseys. They didn’t have my size in. DB jersey. Its at the top of my jersey hit list.
