  1. 1. So which is it?

    • Shula's vanilla offensive play calling?

    • The Wide Receiver 'Problem'?

Seahawks can line up in boring vanilla traditional runs and run in down your throat....

they also have the best D in the NFL.  They had the #1 and play as vanilla as you can on D...our D wasn't really one of the 10 best

Hawks roster is more talented than us.  There coaching on both sides is vanilla

Our defense could be #1. With an improved line and a healthy Stew our run game could be among the best in the league. Not saying it will be but all hope is not lost just because we have Shula and KB went down.

I voted WRs problem.  Both are problematic but one you can live with.

Which problem would like to have aids or herpes?

is aids still a thing? it follows you around and then kills you like that girl from the ring after you watch the videotape. herpes follows you around and ruins your life like a drunk racist tweet from a celebrity.

Both suck

Seahawks had both problems the last 2 years and won 2 nfc championship games and a Super Bowl...

Seahawks have had the number 1 scoring D for 3 straight years. This hasn't been done since the 69-71 purple people eaters. i know this board desperately tries to downplay the seahawk's successes, but the legion of boom is on another level compared to the rest of the NFL. they are the exception, not the rule.

Seahawks running game....Our running game. Seahawks QB.....our QB...

Yeah I don't see how this compare as seeing that Russell Wilson and Cam Newton are two different animals. I don't see how this even applies as the Seahawks have Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch we have Jonathan "I can't play a full season anymore" Stewart...

Yeah, Golden Apples to Oranges man..

Our D in 2013 was historically good as well, and our D this year could be as good or better with every spot improved except Hardy's, which is absolutely a huge loss, but adding Shaq, Tillman, Coleman, Norman and Bene more than makes up for that. Harper I guess is a slight downgrade at SS but it's not enough to really matter.

I'm not comparing them. I'm citing an example of a team who has had success with their 2 biggest areas of weakness being the same as our 2 biggest areas of weakness.

I guess both choices equate to our offensive woes lol.  Wth we might actually have an O-line for the first time for Cam and what is so funny yet sad is no threats.  This team since it's creation cannot have all the elements line up just right, damn black cat.

think we need better secondary talent for that to happen.

we were 21st in pts allowed last year...we weren't as good as that yardage stat implies we hang our hat on IMO.

and the amazing part is Seattle is basically as vanilla of a team as there could be...

Yes but look at the make up of the defense the games that we got completely blown out in. And then look at the starters the last 6 games (including playoffs). I think our secondary is good enough if Tillman can play well. The issue is that other DE spot. If we had Hardy I would bet a lot of money on us having the #1 defense in points and yards allowed. Harper is the only weakness in our secondary and he's really not that bad. He'd be starting for some other teams.

    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
