My final 53 man roster projection

I think you are a bit shallow on the OL, DL, and CB's..... I think one of those TE's gets cut, I think Bersin is cut and Brown stays....... I think they might have to consider cutting Joe Webb..... Three QB's when we have so much other talent.... It's tough. We have some solid depth and some players with a lot of potential. Webb just doesn't have potential to be our #2 QB or anything else.

DL is about the number we usually carry. No one else at CB justified giving a roster spot too. Scott, Remmers, and Amini can play multiple positions if need be. The only other OL I could justify giving a spot to is #65. He has done pretty good. Webb is a really good #3 QB and versatile. I don't see anyone else significant enough to take his spot.

If we could get a solid WR in that trade, i'd be for it. I didn't think about those things though when making it. Just picked the best. Something I noticed about Fozzy tonight...he wasn't in on KO returns. Todman was. I thought that was sort of significant. Also, Norwood looked better than Brown has all preseason.

I had the feeling they didn't want to risk anything with Fozzy. I absolutely would not mind keeping Wegher and cutting Fozzy, however I have a feeling it will be the other way around.

Norwood looked good on catches and blocks. I am sure he will make the 53, but I honestly think we will keep 6 WRs and 3 TEs. Despite his TD Lucas is out, maybe PS. But hey, it is really tough to predict.

Bersin isn't going anywhere, he had a solid preseason.

I agree on Webb however. I'm surprised with how versatile he is, we didn't see him at WR at all.

Amini has had a pretty good preseason. Chandler decent as well. It could go either way.

Heath was terrible. Young didn't do anything special either. Ball has stood out this preseason and made plays.

Heath absolutely blew it today. Would be shocked if he makes this team.

That would mean we keep 6 WR's. Unless they cut Philly... No way they cut any other WR's..... And I think Bersin, although had a good preseason, didn't outshine other people to bring in on the roster at different positions. I'm good with rolling with 5 WRs and I rather keep Philly right now than Bersin.

    • If you want attention to something, I feel like the report button works better than just saying mods in the thread.  I assume it sends them an alert, as I doubt they just continuously watch this place.   Just trying to help, if you actually see something somewhere that needs intervention or you feel this does.
    • Yes, in the absence of your big brain, those points have been discussed ad nauseum around here. Most stable individuals can see that the org sucks since Tepper took over. We can’t change that fact so we debate Bryce’s viability as a QB into oblivion. Bryce has shown the occasional flash but it is year 3 and decisions have to be made. I personally don’t think he’s cut out for this but as a fan of the Panthers I hope that somehow it works.
    • I agree that perspective is important.  I also think that it's fine to take the wins when you can.  So the Panthers have started playing a lot better against bad teams after the first couple of weeks.  Cool, I'll take that.  Will it continue?  I don't know.  The Jets could be the uber trap/Steve Wilks revenge buzzsaw that sucks all the life and wind out of us.  Or we could beat them and the narrative still wouldn't change because they are a really bad team. Here's my long perspective:  We've been one of the worst teams since we traded for Bryce - talent level, wins, etc.  Any metric will show that.  This year, we are improving.  Maybe we're not bottom tier trash.  Maybe we're just to below average.  That's growth as far as I'm concerned.  I'll take that.
