Starts off reminding everyone he needs to pass a physical. Then adds...

On what Allen can add to the Panthers: "He's a pass rushing specialist – that's what he does – and he plays the run very well. He's a physical guy. He's got good size, good hand strength. He rushes with violence. He doesn't just sit there and work one way or the other – he's got counter moves. We watched a lot of tape on him today just to make sure that this could potentially be a fit for us."

He was just on Panthers Talk and seemed really excited about him. Said he'll contribute much sooner than Norwood because he's a seasoned vet and DE is quicker to pick up than WR. Mentioned the pending physical a lot but assuming he passes that, I would bet he'll have a big role right from the Bucs game.

Man, give Jared a players coach, a couple of solid young DTs, plenty of character guys in the locker room, and a top 5 defensive unit? This is exactly the kind of landing spot he needs. I'm beyond stoked

IDK if we're a Top 5 defensive unit, but I agree with everything else.  Our young stud DTs should allow him to go to work.

Really not looking for Jared to come in and save our Dline. But our line definitely just got better.  I still see Sean using different packages out there. If we can get Charles Johnson back healthy after a few weeks, we can see this pay dividends by utilizing him for rotational depth.

If we can get out of him what we've gotten out of Peanut & Oher, I'll be more than happy.

Definitely not a complaint... just tempering my expectations.

    • It’s wild to me that so many of you guys are threatened by the idea of an opposing team fan who is polite in 2025. He’s been posting here on and off for years, usually when our teams play each other which hasn’t been for a while. I’d maybe understand this treatment if it was a falcons or saints fan, but packers fans in general are one of the nicer fan bases as long as you aren’t another NFC north team (especially the bears).
    • Some players excel on the big stage, while others freeze and succumb to the pressure. I’m not convinced Cam took a dive. I think he didn’t handle the stage very well. The pressure got to him and he folded. He wouldn’t be the first quarterback or player to struggle in a Super Bowl. Two HOF examples - John Elway and Jim Kelly. The 2002 MVP, Rich Gannon, threw 5 interceptions against the Bucs. Poor performances happen.  Unless of course you believe all these players threw the games they played in, but if that occurred, surely someone by now would have admitted taking a dive? 🤷‍♂️
    • It was always a matter of time with Cam’s playing style and a shorter shelf life than passers that protect themselves. I suppose Cam could have still been playing in 2028 ten years after the hit took place, but he would need to have evolved as a quarterback and become more of a passer than the dual threat maestro he was. It’s sad because it makes us think of what could have been, but I do feel it was always a matter of time until all the hits took their toll.
