Predict the Falcons media slobber

The Falcons were exposed today, the Deadskins and their Cousins found a way to join the Eagles and Giants in puking another win on Atlanta's resume.

I PREDICT that instead of the National media recognizing these pretenders for what they are, it'll look more like this...

"Resilient Falcons finally surge past the Redskins in a game that only went to overtime because of Matt Bryant."

Ahh, RESILIENT.  Thats the buzz word that's been so loosely tossed around describing the Colts winning 3 straight wins two of them being teams we beat, and get labled the worst undefeated team left.

It won't matter in the end because GB is on a one way path to the SB, after the Seahawks loss last year the Packers are laser focused, I don't see anyone beating them in the playoffs including us

your right PU. Call Ron and the boys and tell them to just phone the rest of the season iin.

I live in Atlanta and am forced to listen to their sports radio. TBH, they bitch all the time about being overlooked and snubbed by the media. They sound a lot like when we bitch about being snubbed by the media.

I don't think the media will be all over them just yet. But if they keep winning maybe.

However, if we win this week in Seatlle, I guarantee we will be thought of as a better team than the Falcons in the eyes of the media.

    • Bryce and Dave will determine how many games this team wins next year. It’s not on the WRs. The RBs. LBs. This is about 2 things: 1. Can Bryce continue to come up big in the few key downs that decide most games?  2. Can Canales evolve his play calling to counter punch like the big boys do. Half time adjustments.  teams that score 30+ points on the regular win more games than not. That’s on Bryce and Dave. The offense is top 10 at every position group, save for TE and QB. A baller TE is gravy but not crucial when the receivers are dudes.  The defense is the defense. It’ll be better this season, hopefully by a large margin, but Dave/Bryce is really where it’s at.
    • Normally I'd wholeheartedly agree with this. But I feel like teams figured out this offense after the Raiders game. Bryce was so inept the first 2 games that we couldn't really even run the offense. Dalton's first game showed what we had. But after that game, coverages got a lot tighter and windows were smaller. When Bryce came back in, his ability to extend plays made a big difference. It's really difficult to stop a QB that can beat/escape 1on1 tacklers. It puts a lot of pressure on the defense when you blitz. And he was completing throws in tight coverage with anticipation. Point being Bryce wasn't throwing to wide open receivers that were schemed open by the offense. Occasionally yes. But not often.
    • With the additions we've made to our roster combined with the state of the division and the conference as a whole there is no excuse for this team not to make a legitimate push for 8-9 wins. Anything less is honestly inexcusable. There will be no more free passes for being a doormat in this iteration of the league where even mediocre teams are competing for playoff spots.
