Your wishlist for the draft

BPA.

Although my preference is for that players to play one of these positions:  CB (if we lose or only tag Josh), SS, DE, WR

I would like a RB too, eventually we need to replace Stew, but not really interested in one in the first round unless Elliot or Henry somehow fall to us which I cannot see

Would Love to get Corey Coleman but he's going to be out of reach.

Carl Nassib, this is the guy I want.  He is Dominating this year.  Has put on a ton of weight, and really hasn't done anything prior to this year that's keeping his stock down.  Guy is a Gettleman type of guy.

Don't count Corey out of the realm of possibility.  This projection has him drop to us at the 32nd pick and the 3rd receiver taken overall.  Although we have taken 2 WR high the last two years and I think the pick could be better spent at another position of need, Corey could cement us as the most lethal receiving corp.  He runs a 4.3 and is compared to Ted Ginn but with much better hands.

We are steadily heading towards picking at a minimum of 30th

With Gmans ability to grab great guys beyond the 1st, a trade down could reap great rewards if "our guy" might not be there

Better chance we trade up than down.  GMan loves the 5th year option for first rounders and our roster is so stacked we take quality vs quantity at this point.  JMO.

I'm guessing we double dip at DL again. Probably one in the 1st/2nd and then one around the 5th/6th. all depends on how the draft plays out though. would also like for us to get a safety to replace harper. more OL depth couldn't hurt, especially with Oher being a short-term option at LT and our backup guards being injury prone Silatolu and Chris Scott.

    • The difference is about how much player input is allowed and encouraged in the decision making process. Top down teams tend to dictate to players how everything is handled. Disagreements are handled by the coach and players are expected to do what they are told regardless of what they think or feel.  Players are perceived as commodities to be used until we find better. In player led teams player input is encouraged and valued. Players and especially leaders are expected to settle their own disagreements and be accountable to the team but mostly to each other. Players are family to be appreciated and supported in their growth. Is the reality of football the same in both? Yeah there are limited positions, football is a business and winning is the bottom line. Coaches get final say and run the program because that is their job. But in player led teams they feel valued, appreciated, part of a larger whole. Most people who have worked at multiple jobs know exactly what I am talking about. When players try to run the show and don't value  coach input that isn't a player led team, that is a circus which we surely are familiar with in our past.
    • For our pics and trades tonight and tmrw.  Remember, Aho was a 2nd rounder and Slavin was a 4th rounder.
    • Seems to be the consensus from the talking heads. I really wish we had double dipped at center in the 2nd round. Sion will never play in the league.
