The name of the actor is a secret but he's a well known actor and womanizer and has been HIV positive for years.

A British newspaper has all but named a major A-list actor reportedly diagnosed with HIV, drawing ire from health campaigners.

The star, described as "a womaniser", has known of his HIV-positive status for years, but had not revealed his diagnosis to his sexual partners, Britain's The Sun reports.

The newspaper said it had chosen not to name the actor, who has previously dated movie and television stars, a glamour model and Hollywood personalities.

His lawyers were said to be bracing for potential legal action over his failure to disclose his HIV status.

"The reality is that if he's knowingly put women at risk then that's disgusting and it's only a matter of time before that becomes public," a source told The Sun.

Another source said friends had encouraged the man to go public before he was named by media, but he was worried about the impact on his career.

 

Many people screaming Charlie Sheen but nothing is know and media is digging all over it.  The name will leak sooner or later.

Sheen's the first name that popped into my head, though I'll grant "A List" is a stretch for him.

It will just reinforce the idea that HIV still exists and that people still need to be catious no matter who their partner is

"Care" would be a stretch, other than the level to which I'd care about any human being.

"Curiosity" would best describe my reaction to this story, and not necessarily huge curiosity.

Once the name comes out - as I'm sure it will - I'll probably say "oh okay" and then go on.

It says "decades" of debauchery so I'm guessing it's an 80-90's actor. My guess would be Sean Penn. Been around long enough but still in with the ladies. My guess though, not making a claim (just in case his legal team is on the Huddle).

Drug use probably covers 90% of Hollywood and the only 'A list' celebrities that I recall hearing gay rumors about are Will Smith and John Travolta.

 

Blood transfusions were a large part of people getting HIV back in the 80's.   I'll take a guess and say Sean Connery!
