Bye Felicia... Shula has definitely improved but I really think our offense is successful despite some of his play calls.  How many times do we see Cam calling audibles at LOS.

Probably around the same number of times as all the other great offenses in the NFL.

I mean, if Shula were to leave, we would have to hire someone from outside the organization as our new OC right?  I mean, Ken Dorsey (QBs coach), Ricky Proel (WRs coach), and Jim Skipper (RBs coach) wouldn't really be viable candidates for the position.  We do not have an assistant OC position on staff.

Would really be interesting to see this play out.  Hue Jackson, Mike Solari, David Lee, Tom Cable..... Some names we could look at for OC.

Slow down now.  This is just crappy speculation......

Hue Jackson will be a HC next season, not an OC.

Hue Jackson is the OC for the Bengals so he isn't an option.

If Shula were to take the job I think he would be a fair bet that he would take Dorsey with him and make him the OC there. Dorsey as most know was the QB of those great 2000's Hurricanes teams.

Hue Jackson isn't going to make a lateral move.

Be careful what you wish for folks.

    • I mean, I alluded to it when we signed him. It might be different if he was old and washed up, but he's not. Sickness and suffering will never ever allow you to be your best. Eclipse that and if one has the talent and inclination to thrive, the sky's the limit.
    • Renfrow makes the team and becomes part of the rotation-- then he plays well.  Gets NFL comeback player of the year.  You all cheer.  When I say, "I called this in June."  You will say "Pic or it didn't happen."  I will say, "you all disgust me because you are too mired in mediocrity to see my brilliance."  You will give me a poo emoji because that is how you treat greatness.   OK, I'm back.
    • I did a little research. I think that it's hard to say that we're a traditionally "small-market" team anymore. Technicalities aside, our fan base is certainly not as popular as some others (lots of fans from different fan bases can probably argue that though), but the Panthers do have a solid and committed following if you look at things like home attendance and---fascinatingly---social media digital presence (e.g., back in 2023 there were three million followers of the Panthers on Twitter, ranking them #5). It's just hard to get exact, up-to-date numbers because much of the relevant information is not forthcoming, but suffice it to say that winning changes things, even if temporarily. Even if the fan base is smaller, it certainly seems to make a lot of noise. We just need to win. On an off note, Tet McMillan has fairly strong rookie jersey sales. Between him, Bryce and Legette, maybe the fan base will grow a little.
