Just further solidifies the fact that pretty much everyone they have hosting Inside the NFL is a complete and utter retard.  Simms and Boomer are both grade A ass clowns, the other little Jewey guy has no business on a show like that, and Brandon Marshall is on ESPN every week just about, making one of the most boneheaded plays ive ever seen.....fug all those guys.

Arizona....lol. Ask them what happened last time they came to B of A.

I would absolutely love to see them in a playoff game... And watch "The Return of Ted"

Ted Ginn with a touchdown pass and over 50 yards in the return game.

Cards offense is the most overrated group in the NFL. If we had KB healthy there wouldn't even be an argument about who's better.

so I suppose J-No gets no love and we still have the best front-7 in the NFL.

The Vikings are a dome team with a so-so QB and Forsett isn't playing half as good as he was last year. I'd love to get the Vikes as our first playoff opponent.

what we have here, are analysts with big egos holding on to their preconceived notions about our team.  starts with them never believing cam would ever be a franchise QB, our record last year, we have no offense this year, etc. They don't want to admit they were wrong because it makes them look like idiots.  Personally i don't get that because predicting the nfl is hard. some other analysts and media are actually starting to give us props but the way i see it, we won't get that universal respect until we make a superbowl run. better if we win it. Sodium Chloride levels would be at an all time high. it would be glorious.

9 wins and still the prognosticators favor other teams.  So what?

Demonstrates what many have already said, these guys don't know what they are talking about even though they are paid handsomely to flap their gums.

Would rather have Panthers United anchoring ESPN/NFL Network 24/7 at this point.

People around here need to be prepared for how underrated the Panthers are going to be after they win Super Bowl 50.

By the way, the OP's summary states Brandon Marshall says that nothing validates these teams being here. Marshall means that when you look at the make-up and what people think will lead to winnning, nothing is there. There were no blockbuster draft picks or free agency moves. The coaches are not the big name guys who get attention from the national media and ultimately, when looking at the teams preseason, the only team not on that list was Carolina.

In a nutshell, the general discussion is about the Cardinals and how great they are and apparently Calais Campbell plays on the defensive line for them. I never would've remembered that after we played the Cardinals in 2013. (sarcasm). But they mention him a lot, and never once mention Cam, Olsen, or Stewart. They mention Palmer and Bridgewater by name, and Carolina is either 2nd or 3rd. (2nd for Boomer, who I am not a fan of, 3rd for Simms) And I must reiterate, they make no mention of the Panthers specifically other than where they rank.

I dub this the "Post Win in Seattle Nuthug", much like we got the week after we won. Then we beat Green Bay and the Colts and we are still all over the front pages. Then we beat the Titans and Cam has the most efficient passing game of his career and the only thing on NFL.com about the Panthers is how Cam was dancing. Nothing about remaining undefeated or Cam as an MVP candidate, just dancing.

As a franchise, Carolina's notoriety is dependent on A.) The number of wins, B.) Who we win against. Unless we beat a team who the media pays attention to, we won't get any sort of recognition that week.

    • Time to hit 4000 yards and 30 TDs (including rushing). I don't care about INTs anymore. That's a big part of the problem. He plays uber conservative until the game is on the line. Playing not to lose, instead of playing to win. Time to let it friggin rip from the get. The team can win with a pick or 2 if he has 3-4 TDs. Stop playing scared.  But to be fair, his WRs have not been great. You all can bash about 1st round picks and O-line cap all you want.  Chuba as your #1 RB his entire career.  Adam Thielen as your best WR for 2 of 3 seasons is ridiculous. Then a rookie as your best in the 3rd season. Legette is not a 1st round talent. Probably closer to a 4th if you compare him to Brazzel this year. Coker has been a walking injury report. Nothing else to really speak of at WR or TE. Jimmy Horn has potential, but he is not an NFL starter yet. Oline has been better as run blockers than pass blockers. Ickey has always been so-so as a pass blocking LT. Center has been a revolving door for 3 years. Damien Lewis has been as marketed. Hunt is a great run blocker but an ok pass blocker - when healthy. Moton has been solid at RT. Biggest problem with the oline has been depth. When someone went down, their replacement became a glaring weakness. Overall a good but not great unit the last 2 years. 2023 was a ish show. Nothing else to say.  Not one game breaker, take it to the house offensive weapon since DJ Moore. Hopefully we get a little of that from Brazzell.  Either way, in his 4th season, it doesn't matter. You have to be able to overcome whatever comes your way. First 3 seasons with a young supporting cast is defendable. Can't use that anymore though. 3rd year in the offense. 3rd year with the same HC.
    • Highest amount of OL salary cap in the league too. The Chiefs are behind us at 2 but we are ahead of them by a cool $23 million. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/position/offensive-line/_/year/2026/table/active/sort/cap_total
    • I dont recall that happening to a qb but my memory has been crap the past few years
