Tony Romo is 3-0

Yeah, but Cam is 10-0.

Dallas is 3-7.

Carolina is 10-0.

Please, I really want to know. How are the Cowtwats not only favored, but still getting more talk about than the Panthers?

One dude on NFLN just said "If the cowboys beat the Panthers, they will have respect then." WTF?  We could set the NFL scoring record for a game and still not get any respect.

I think I will just stop watching the coverage this week.

Good idea.

I haven't started.  Knew this is how it would be.

I come to the huddle to get away from these stories just to read more and more threads about Dallas .. SMH

Yeah weird, being Dallas week and all. Plus Romo's name is in the title, so you didn't have to open the thread. I ain't PU.

I try to stay in the Charlotte/local scene for Panthers coverage. Don't really care what people who don't watch us play have to say about our team. Their tweets, coverage, articles and headlines are written and posted to garner the most clicks and buzz. Now, I know this happens locally but it's a lot more balanced, if anything, leaning towards brutally honest rather than sugar coated.

I would urge fans to take after our team, enjoy the ride. Don't worry about the press or the respect. No amount of wins will force ANYONE to respect us. These players don't play for media respect, they play for wins.

Thursday games pretty much always favor the home team. The Cowboys almost always play well on Thanksgiving and they are 3-0 with Romo. It's not really that big of a mystery. I thought we would be favored by a couple but this really isn't that huge of a shock. Vegas doesn't set lines due to narratives or popular opinion.

We should be happy anyway. The team will use this as motivation. If you really think it's that disrespectful then slap a few grand on the Panthers to cover.

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
