Before we get all happy

True, Jones is suspect in the nickle, but I'll be damned if I'm going to suppress my happiness.

Now where's that cowboy fan that was shitting up our board, island whatever.

Island Hopper? He probably spent his Thanksgiving crying and breaking things. Now he is probably island hopping to a new team

Yep. Beasley's monstrous 44 yards on a huge 6 catches, and a garbage time TD, not all of which were when Jones was manned up, was game-changing.

Exactly. Beasley has caught balls in every cowgirl game I've seen this season, and you rightly point out that this was only a few garbage time plays that mean nothing.

Jones got nicked at a bit, but he certainly didn't play terribly.  He did get beat on short routes a few times, but that happens.  Shorter routes with good timing have the highest chance of being a completion, but usually for not many yards.  Jones did make a few impressive tackles in the game, DBs gotta tackle too man.

Also if you are Dallas, where the heck else are you going to attack our defense?  The middle with Luke, TD and Kurt?  How'd that work out?  People were predicting colin would get beat so bad it could be game changing, not in the slightest.

You can dress it up anyway you want, Colin isn't doing well and getting stutter stepped out of a play is scary. he got beat too much every time he was out there. Unsure eyes keeping him frozen or tricked to easily. I wish we had a better backup to Bene at nickel.

I think you're spoiled by the great play around him. I'm not saying he's a world-beater, or even above average, but he does about as well as most any team's 3rd or 4th corner. Bene hasn't really looked much better in the slot (though he looks pretty good outside).

I will say Colin looks great in run and screen plays. As far as Bene he's pretty good at nickel outside of the one play that started inside with Cobb and he broke outside just torching Bene.

    • Oh I was.  But we still had great players.
    • You keep AT unless he WANTS to get traded to a contender during the season.  He's valuable, TET, XL, and Coker need to learn how to be PROFESSIONALS on game day, practice, and the off-season.  That's what you get from AT.  ADDITIONALLY, he is clutch.  He is steady.  At is that savvy vet who will always flash. I really think they keep 7 WR's if Brycen can operate on special teams.  Week 1 you may see us heavy on WR and OL because of the massive amount of injuries across the league.  Renfrow may even be cool starting on the PS since he lives close and wouldn't need to uproot his family.  You can still make nearly 400K as a vested veteran on an NFL practice squad.  You see more veterans hanging around since the age limit was lifted. I think the 1st 53 and PS looks like so...... Offense: (25) QB (2) Young / Dalton RB (3) Chuba/Rico/Etienee WR (7) T-Mac/XL/AT/Coaker/Renfrow/JHjr/Brycen TE (3) Tremble/Sanders/Evans OL (10) Icky/Lewis/Corbett/Hunt/Moten/Brady/Mayes/Yosh/Zavala/Kingston Defense: (25) DL: (6) Brown/Robinson/Turk/Bobby B/Cam Jackson/Sam Roberts OLB: (5) Wonnom/PJ2/NicSic/Princely/Incoon ILB: (5) Rozeboom/TW/Windmon/Cherelus/Bam CB: (5) Horn/MJ/CSW/Thorton/Evans S: (4) Tre'Mo/Ransom/Demani/Scott Specialists: (3) JJ/Fitz/Martin Last spot: Right now I have it as a toss up between DJ Johnson and Bam.  Until NicSic can come back we need an extra edge.  Do we utilize TW more as a blitzer from the middle to keep Bam safe?  I'm not worried about DJJ getting picked up from another team, a little more concerned with Bam. Practice Squad: DavidMoore/JamesMitchell/JacolbyGeorge/Tuttle/Crumdley/Ray/DJJohnson/Kantra/Carter/Blacksheer/ Wright/KrysBarnes/MichaelReid/Safety pick up/RB pick up/QB pick up
