Don't believe the hype!

The downtrodden Saints and their fans, would like nothing better than to "stun" the 11-0 "streaking" Carolina Panthers in the later time slot! Trust me!

Now, whether can pull it off is another thing. However, like most teams who have played Carolina the past several games, they always try hard in the beginning, and certainly want to.

Honestly I expect this one to be closer than most people think.  Not because I think the Saints are a particularly good team - far from it.  But because the Saints KNOW the Panthers well.  Division games are always the toughest, and the Saints almost beat the Panthers with their backup QB playing.  Hell the Saints might want to trot him out next week there because Brees looked terrible today.  Commercial might have had some unintended real life wisdom. Saints will be pumped up for this one, but I just don't think they have the talent or the coaching to win.

Panthers 30

Saints 21

Oh, don't get me wrong, I certainly would love for it to happen. I just can't imagine a scenario in which it did.

I just don't think the team is very talented. Not sure you can turn that around. They had a pretty good draft and we've got a poo ton of young guys playing a lot of minutes.

But let's be real, a team with over $30 million in salaries that aren't on the team is going to have a talent problem.

Any chance that your team treats this game as their "Superbowl"? I know that the fire seems to be gone from your team, but we are rivals for a reason.

Man. This team has had a wild card spot staring them in the face the last three weeks and they've managed to get blown out in 2 of the 3. I just don't think the team has enough talent to treat any game like a Super Bowl.

We'll see/that remains to be seen.

I'm sure The Saints have a lot to prove to themselves after the Houston loss.

Nonetheless, we know two things to be true about this game if the Panthers attain a big lead:

1) Rivera will call off the dogs somewhere in the middle of the 3rd quarter. That's just his nature

2) Both Payton and Brees will continue trying to secure TD's, regardless of the score and clock.

I'm scared of Brees and it feels like we haven't played a good QB in a long time

I'm not sure why this is such a big deal to some of you. The Panthers were throwing the ball up as much as 38-3 last year.

I will start feeling sympathy when we have a ring like they do. This season aint over and the Saints still have the ultimate prize that we have yet to achieve. I will truly feel like the Panthers will reign supreme when they win that, are we the better team and should win? Yes, but till then im not talking down to a team like they are gum a shoe. Just take care of business on the road to the champioship

Oh yes... we remember those days (hint: the last two years).

Oh. A little sensitive I see? LOL

Come on. Everyone knows, Brees is one of the biggest stat compilers ever. The Saints could be up 48-0 with 4 min left, and Brees would still try to throw TD's on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 4th down.

We've all seen it.
