Oh, no argument from me.  I'm a fan of Gano, so I'm not criticizing him by pointing out that stat.  Just wanting to give a rounded out picture of his performance this season.  The blocks are not necessarily his fault.

For 2015 so far:

He's made 100% of FGs from < 40.

He's 10 / 13 at 40-49 yards

He's 2 /4 at 50+ yards.

from PFR:  http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GanoGr44.htm

I'll check on the specifics of length for the 3 blocked attempts.  Stay tuned.

Make him do his own Googling :)

Any negativity directed towards Gano is merely a reflection of a deep rooted and cemented fear of all things special teams that we as Panther fans have come to know.

tell me you don't pucker up whenever we have to kick the ball for any reason?

Punts, FGs, PATs, Kickoffs. They all make me nauseaous and clammy.

I don't pucker anymore. When Gano kicks I used to not watch. That changed mid season this year.

To be honest, the nausea stopped after the Super Bowl. Once Kasay kicked off OB and gave New England a short field, I was pretty much done. Now, when I see people wanting Gano's head for missing a fugging PAT, while giving Kasay a total pass, I want to puke.

Thats when it all started for me.  PTSD if you will.

Flashbacks to ST's blunders, blocks, misses, returns, muffs and what ever the hell Chris Gamble did.

Nightmares man, nightmares.

There was a fire Gano thread earlier this season - after he missed an extra point or FG (I forget which) against Green Bay.

Mind you this was AFTER he scored the game winning two FGs against Indianapolis the previous week.... LOL!

Granted if he had made the fg we probably never would have seen OT with the colts.  But that's ifs, and it really doesn't matter now.  No complaint from me gano has been solid and before he came around our kicking game was abysmal with olindo mare.  Now that dude was awful.
