This defense is playing GREAT.

I never said they were playing great, but that just this game. You were complaining about them not getting turnovers, when they lead the league in turnovers. You cant just look at one game, but what they have done over the season.

People always try to make it like its always the offense carrying or always the defense, but its both. When one struggles the other usually steps up. The offense came through and put us up and the defense got the stop in the end.

Cool.

I guess you can go back to thinking the Panthers are a perfect team since they won! Being a fan for as long as I have I view things a bit differently due to the yearly let downs I've endured. Get over it.

Ha! I've been a fan since 95 homie, just don't be so quick to mark a loss. Take it as a lesson learned. And eat your damn crow

Not true, offense was money today except for a few drops. Twas just the D that let us down.

Don't know if I agree completely.  Offense was money in the second half.  3 turnovers in the first half was not good at all and the defense actually did pretty well to hold the Saints to 14 points at half.  In the second half, roles were reversed.  The defense couldn't stop them and the offense couldn't be stopped.  Fortunately, the defense did stop them when it mattered most.

    • when we drafted Bryce Young that team might have been more talented than the team we currently have ?  that was the whole reasoning behind morgagting  our immediate future to trade up to #1 overall for BY. our front offices & owners felt like hey guess what the time is now to srike while the iron is hot go hire an All Star coaching staff we were only a Qb away from taking that next step ..just saying
    • I just dont get the worry over losing a practice squad player that just went undrafted. Everyone just made their selections. The chances of a team wanting to sign him to an active roster after not selecting him is very low.  If that interested they would have taken him late to evaluate in person. As far as I can tell two qbs were signed off another teams practice squad last season and they were both going in to their 5th season.
    • I enjoyed reading this thread and the usual banter that follows. The only silver lining I can identify right now is we do actually have a couple of young QB's behind him and we do have a nice roster on both sides of the ball built around the most important position. So if the team overall shows some promise but we still falter largely due to a lack of consistent passing output (again) hopefully the decision makers can be free to make the best decision for the team going forward after the conclusion of this upcoming season.
