Was looking at his stats today...

This dude, with this crew (no offense to them) has a shot at throwing 30 TD passes. I remember when Favre crossed that mark I was like "this guy has arrived, he is an elite passer" I think it was 95 or 94. I am so proud of the way Cam throws the football. He is the complete package.

The way he has been going lately, he might get 40.

I have always thought if they let him throw the ball; no matter the core around him, he would put up HUGE passing numbers. Those first few games in his career showed me that. He can be that kind of QB. Much like Brady makes lesser guys stars, Newton could hang huge numbers on this C+ crew.

you put cam in as the quarterback for arizona and they automatically beat any time by at least 14 points.

Cam is likely to join an elite club next week... Via PFT:

On Sunday, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton pushed his passing total for the season above 3,000 yards. Standing alone, it’s not a particularly unusual development.

He’s now done it in each of his first five seasons. And that’s what makes it rare. At least for now.

According to the NFL, Dalton is only the second quarterback in NFL history to throw for at least 3,000 yards in each of his first five seasons. The other? Peyton Manning.

But it won’t be a two-man club for long. Panthers quarterback Cam Newton is only 203 yards away from becoming the third player to do it.

    • Sellers is absolutely one to keep an eye on. Could be the next Cam or could be the next Anthony Richardson. Curious to see how he has progressed come this fall.
    • I think Texas could go 0-12 and he would still go #1 based on his name and traits like you say.  But nusselman and sellers may be actually better qbs.    Man if bryce stinks it up this season its looking like a damn good year to swap out qbs.  Sellers highlights are just fuging jaw dropping
    • I mean, the kid comes from a wealthy family. It's not like he needs the money. He has a ton of potential now we get to see what he can do as a starter. Everyone penciling him in as the #1 overall pick is putting the cart way before the horse. It's 5% because of his talent and what he's showing on the field and 95% because his last name is Manning. And if he is what he's hyped to be the Texas coaching staff needs to be answering some tough questions about why the kid wasn't on the field sooner. Ewers was a good college QB but he's definitely not a "keep a future #1 overall pick waiting" type of college QB. Only getting one season out of a top NFL talent because you chose to keep him buried behind a borderline NFL talent is just coaching negligence. Not starting him as a true freshman? Yeah, I get that. But on year two if the kids is what he's hyped to be you gotta wish Ewers well elsewhere and turn the page.
