Interesting video/article from NFL.com. They clocked Ted Ginn at 22.4 MPH on his 74 yard TD - he was matched up against Robert Alford, a corner who himself leads the league in ball-carrier speed (clocked in at 22.6 MPH in week 6 on a pick). 72% of his catches yards, and touchdowns are coming lined up on the left side of the field, where teams usually place their second cornerback. 

This proves why Ted Ginn is so dangerous. He's not a number one receiver, but odds are he is going to outrun your corner. Unless you put safety help over him or double team him, he will get open. Even if he's only catching half of them, that's still more than most NFL deep threats, and he's faster than all of them. Ted Ginn has opened up our offense so much, even when he's not producing. Great signing by Gettleman.

Dude would have at least 13 if not for the dropsies... then we'd be discussing Ted Ginn having a near-20 TD season. Friggin' incredible.

Yep..TedIII has left a good amount of points left on the field...but at 13-0, maybe he's just saving the up for the playoffs?!

i think a lot of Ginn's credit has to go to Cam and the OLine being able to protect Cam until Ginn gets separation.

The combination of Ginns speed, our offensive line giving Cam the time to let those deep routes develop, and Cam getting much better at putting some air under his deep balls has added up to exactly the kind of deep threat that this offense has needed the last few years.  Hope it continues.

Bucky brooks amuses me .. says Arizona is a much better team than Carolina on scout vs scout.

And then after ginn torches atlantas defense he starts digging and puts out this tweet ..

Defenders facing @Panthers should pay attention to where Ginn lines up.. 6 of his 8 TDs have occurred when he lines up outside on the left.

Seems like a good time to bring up the brilliant prognostication of Adam Schein, who picked us to finish 6-10 and 3rd in the division behind the Saints and Falcons. Not only did he trash our receivers, failing to even ID our #1 WR, but it seems our OL sucks as well. Makes you wonder how we ever got to 13-0 with no weapons or protection for our QB.

"Honestly, I didn't think Carolina had enough at receiver before the Benjamin injury. Now? Devin Funchess is the current No. 1, and that's not fair to the second-round pick. He just doesn't appear to be as physical or NFL-ready as Benjamin was entering last season. And the rest of the Panthers' receiver depth chart looks like a witness protection program. Jerricho Cotchery? Ted Ginn Jr.? Philly Brown? Brenton Bersin? Who??

And beyond center Ryan Kalil, the offensive line remains a major area of concern in Carolina. Who's going to protect the $100 million investment?"

      After watching Dan for 3 yrs now, I think I understand his plan. It’s a simple plan that should work for the long run.     I saw some of this last yr. Dan wants a vet and a young player at each position. I really think we go OT if one they like there. Moton is aging, Icky will not be back until 27, if ever. We need to get ahead of the tackle problem

      You are just stressing too much about these particular positions. You want to upgrade from Bryce and I understand that but you aren’t going to really get that without getting into a bidding war for a QB2 potential QB1 like Willis. You could possibly trade for Mills or the backup for Chicago but they are still gambles and their teams will won’t decent picks.  Again the Eagles thought KP was a capable enough backup to trade for him once their backup was hurt and won a Super Bowl with him as QB2. The point is most teams aren’t rolling with some stud QB2/3 that is going to push even a bottom tier starter. They are better off the building their roster in other areas. The Rams are rolling with Bennett right now as QB2 for example.  The goal is winning absolutely. We overachieved last year even with stumbling into the playoffs. Another year and this staff needs to take the next step in building a team. Will Grier has little to no impact on that….

      Three straight first round WRs is straight up Matt Millen poo. Considering the draft capital we have tied up on Bryce after that trade we would basically have spent damn near all of our draft capital in recent years on QB and WR just to put one of the most anemic passing offenses in the league on the field. Clown show poo.
