Taking my son

I know this is the football board but the basketball board can be kinda slow... Taking my son to our 1st Hornets game.. Just have a few first timer questions.. What time can we get in for A 7 OCLOCK game. Are we allowed down on the baseline to watch an take pics while they are warming up? Do they sign any autographs? If so, then when and where are the good places? Our tickets are in section 101, are these good seats? What fun stuff if any is there to do in the arena for the kiddo.. He is 8 years old.. thanks for the help guys and gals!

You should really have kept it in the Hornets board, because it's probably gonna get moved there anyway.

But here are a few tips to help you out:

1) You can get in at 6 p.m. There will likely be a small line.

2) They're very stingy about letting you down there unless you're sitting there. You could ask though.

3) Players may or not sign autographs. They come out for pre-game shootarounds and are usually focused on that, but the sooner you get in, the better your chances are. It's a crap-shoot. I've seen 4-5 guys sign some nights and 0 on others. The best place is the tunnel where the Hornets come out onto the court. It's the one nearest the main entrance. Security will probably tell you you can't go there unless you sit in that section but if you tell them you're just going to get autographs with your kid they should be cool about it.

4) Stuff to do is more limited to outside the arena but there's a court kids can play on in the upper bowl I think.

My bro has seats in 103, if my memory serves me right 101 is right behind the players bench and you make get special access to certain areas depending on where exactly your ticket is. If you seats are close enough your kid will likely be entertained by the game and all the stuff going on on the court. Get him some nachos or popcorn and he should be good to go.

There are PLENTY of athletic freak shows that are playing overseas(or Amazon delivery) cause they never figured out NBA ball. I can easily miss seeing the talent. Plus did he only have 2 dunks on the season??(is that for real??) I didn't watch over a few hours of duke, but not one point did I think "That Kon guy is a top 4 pick in the upcoming draft". IMO I still foresee Ball bringing the ball up, doing his weak isolation game and never even looking for Kon. That's his best trait according to everyone, shooting right? I do not see ball, bridges, miller or even williams making the extra pass to Kon for him to shoot a 3.  Then defense-wise, Im not ready to type the amount of questions I foresee in his ability for guarding NBA SGs or bench SFs for that matter. Not that NBA players care to defend, but still..... I just feel he's a bad fit for the current hornets, trades are taking place tho... Liam to me is a decent comp for Kon and he fell some, but was a 29 overall pick. Still around 13-21 was the good solid range for Liam and I thought the same for Kon. This is just a classic case of I need to see it. It add to this, Kon is like garlic. Ball is like sugar and Miller is like flour. Mix it together and chef Lee is not going to get me to eat that dish..... Honestly I don't know why Im this vocal about Kon. In past years I would be patience and not post and see what the kid has. The other side, insert classic white boy terms here- _____, ______, _______< etc >. Hornets do desperately need them. His crafty back door cuts, his willingness to stay a extra 2 hours to refine lees plays, keep playing with bruised limbs. I heard from many reports he's mentally tough and hornets by all gods need that. God they are such pussys.  I hope Im wrong and if so, I will give Kon his just props.
