Tampa Bay could be interested in Shula

I didn't think Shula would get a head coach interview, but the Lovie Smith firing changed that.

The Bucs have two main objectives, get back to the winning ways of Tony Dungy, and develop Jameis Winston into a Cam Newton type of player.

Well, Shula was OC under Dungy in Tampa, and he also helped develop Cam from day one. Two birds, one stone.

The only thing that doesnt fit is that Shula was absolutely hated by the fans in Tampa at the time. But, that was 15 years ago. Maybe hearts have softened.

Anyways, food for thought .

I hope he's smarter than to go to that dumpster fire of an organization.  TB and Clev should be off limits to any self respecting head coach prospect.  I know that there are only 32 of these jobs available, but I'd almost rather stay a coordinator than to subject myself to the heartache of working for those incompetent FO's.

I agree with the talking heads, Coughlin should go to Clev and remodel that organization. Just give him the keys to the whole damn thing.

Could be what TB is aiming for.

Shula family has strong ties to Florida. Tampa Bay has a young franchise QB in the making. One of the more attractive jobs this off season.

The same Tampa Bay bucs that absolutely poo all over him?  He might get a shot with the Dolphins, but as for the bucs, I just don't see it happening.  All of that said, he's not going anywhere unless we lose in the divisional (not happening) because he's said no to interviews until after the season.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
