As bad as those unsportsmanlike penalties were, and they were really, really bad, I was also in shock over the Bengals' crowd reactions. Booing for injuries? Throwing beer at the Steelers? Tomlin coming back to the field to get Roethlisberger off the field safely? They're challenging Eagles' fans' status as the worst fans. Reap what you sow with that team, I guess.

Burfict is borderline retarded, and he is a dirty, completely classless piece of poo...  but, those refs shitted on the bengals.  They wanted the stillers to win.  They let that hit by shazier go, which caused a turnover, but they called TWO personal fouls after the stillers used all of their timeouts???  Lol.  Bullshit.  

Burfict did purposely target Brown's head, but my point is, if they let Shazier get away with it, then why not turn a blind eye to Burfict there when the game is truly in the balance?  Regardless, because Burfict is an asshole and doesnt know when to chill the fug out, and by the book that was a penalty, i understand that call as a standalone play.  But, the problem isnt that call...  it was the penalty on Pacman after that.  First off, why is Porter's fat ass on the field talking poo?  Regardless, the refs should've left that alone.  Either call it on Porter/PIT's bench for him being on the field, or leave it alone...  once they called that, they made clear what their intentions were.

Horrible fuging officiating.  Unless Pacman went Last Boy Scout on that last call, you swallow your fuging whistle there.  Instead, they handed Pittsburgh the game.  But again, when they let Shazier essentially try to end Gio's career, the bengals should've known to not let the game come down to officiating.

You cannot sense intent from watching the play. I'm giving you what I would see and what a lot of other players would see. You see Brown struck in the head oh burfict is a pos yada yada. I see a guy hitting a receiver with his shoulder bracing for contact after he touched the ball. Nothing more nothing less. The fact that his head was there is unfortunate but I have no reason to believe that (though Burfict is an asshat) it was intentional to cause injury.

Exactly.

Giovanni caught the ball...turned...and took several steps.  He was a runner.  And, a helmet to helmet hit on a runner is not a penalty.  People keep saying targeting, but that is a college rule.

Brown was a defenseless receiver and Burfict went for the head.  That is s penalty.

Don't see how anyone could defend that hit on Brown.  Even if Burfict didn't have a reputation as a dirty player that call still would have been made.  But when you're a player like Burfict you lose the benefit of the doubt.  Don't like it? Then stop being a cheap shotting asshole. 

By the way reading the Bengals game thread at the end of the game was like watching what it must have been like in Jonestown.

I don't understand how you can consistently describe this as a love tap. Brown likely has a concussion.

I define a love tap as a "remember me" hit. Like i guess I would describe a love tap as the point between a shove/tackle and launching into someone. Basically what most LB/S would like to do to a receiver across the middle. But, obviously with a different outcome. Certainly not aiming for injuries one would hope.

You can see Burfict pull his elbow in bracing for impact, head up calculating all the way the cheap shot he delivered rather than simply taking one step left avoiding contact. This was a choice this POS has displayed on the field over and over.

A stationary head vs 240+ running half speed. Of course he has a concussion. That however is the only thing you're interested in and that's the problem. Him being hurt does not make the hit worse. Trying to scream and moan that I don't agree with lynching the guy for delivering a hit that he felt was within the rules is dumb in itself. The fact is I feel and a few other players would feel the hit was ok and the majority would be devastated to know it's an injury. And that likely is what sets this apart. Burfict has the reputation therefore this entire argument is moot because they'll call it just about every time whether it's borderline or not.
