Aren't we one of the few teams in the NFL who actually have a prayer before the game? Heard that once. Don't know if its true.

side note:  the Voice winner who sung the National Anthem?  Pretty good job, even though it sounded a little rushed to me.  (Not everyone's rendition is going to be well received, I thought the kid did decent)

So for every dollar someone gave only $0.10 was truly given back to someone in need 

As a Christian, this disgusts me. If Jesus were here, he'd be braiding his whip and flexing his muscles getting ready to turn over their pharisitical money tables

i've sat in on several of steven furtick's sermons... he's legit creepy (though arguably the best public speaker i've ever seen)

Thats the way the anthem should be sung.  Its an ANTHEM not a dirge.

Its an up tempo song.  It was one of the better ones.  I didnt cringe once at an unnecessary trill or full on Christina Aguilera adlib.

It was respectful, clean and to the point.  Francis Scott Key would be proud of that rendition.

This is why I have recently abandoned "traditional" Christianity. The religion, the way it is now, makes a mockery of God and the sacrifice He made for humanity. To be a follower of Christ, you give all you have for your fellow man. It was never meant to be a life of ease. Yes, sometimes God grants people wealth, but the everyone has a burden to care for mankind proportional to what wealth they've been given. 

the greatest commandment taught us to love God and love people. If a church is hoarding millions of dollars, they aren't loving people. And if they aren't loving people, they aren't loving God because God loves the world.

It helps them undermine religion as a whole when they can point to things like that.  It serves government interest to allow and even foster religious corruption.  

(Don't get me wrong, "churches" like that can do plenty bad all by themselves.)
