If it were any team but the Cards. I love his quote about going to watch the Saints play...he only goes to pull for the Panthers.

How about Casey?

Sorry that was out of bounds...

He's the only QB to ever win us an NFC championship game. I love Jake. I don't see a problem. Superstitions are cute and all, but they're not real.

current staff seems to be very superstitious

He had a terrible game, folks. I was there. It sucked. Long drive back to Northern Virginia the next day and to top it off, I got a speeding ticket about twenty minutes from home.

But it's time to let it go. Jake's a Panther for life. Love that guy and love that he's still enthusiastic about the team. I don't care if he bangs the drum or not, but I guarantee you the guys playing on the field aren't suddenly going to lose their minds because he hits a pregame drum.

I heard Jake yesterday on WFNZ, too. He was at last weeks game and sat in one of the end-zones, he said. I'm actually hoping it is him for the reasons TheWiz mentioned. I think he will be the one to pound the drum, even though he said he doesn't know who it will be.

I also like the Sam Mills' son idea, or Jerry Richardson - that's good, too. But Jake was always one of my favorite Panther, if only because he was always so self-less and classy - no matter the circumstances.

And, not to get all 'proper-English' on anyone, but it's Kasay that kicked it out of bounds, not Casey. I had to re-read that to understand what was meant. Also, a big-time favorite Panther of mine. People make mistakes, but that's not the only reason we lost that game. Heck - let Delhomme and Kasay take turns pounding the drum! I ain't superstitious.
