I also think that 1) What the Russell Wilson did in the second half of that game cannot be reproduced by Peyton Manning in his current state and 2) At least half of the Panthers' failure in the second half was due to the Panthers just not trying as hard as in the first half. I don't think the second half of that game can necessarily be replicated by other teams.

Bills fans won't be happy this series is back. As long as the smoking man is alive the Buffalo Bills will never win a Super Bowl!

This seems to sum up opposing teams fans thought process this season.  Bronco fans will add their excuses as well.  Don't know if this has been posted yet.  It's good stuff.

"Week 20:  Carson Palmer is awful in the playoffs  there is no way you beat that Broncos defense"

"Week 21:. Well...damn. Congrats"

finished it for you.

They're also saying the NFL is against them. The fix is in.

Oh and the guy that started the thread is posting about strength of schedule in every thread

It was either he or his twin brother who called in to Sirius earlier today. The Sirius guys dismissed his arguments forthwith.

So dumb. Right now, both teams are 2-0. If you're going by SoS then we dominate that. Let's see Seattle and Arizona (who was favored to win it all by a lot of people) vs a half ass Steeler offense and a patriot team that threw away a win. If the would have kicked fgs instead of going for it, this would be a rematch of '03. They almost lost to Pitt if it wasn't for the French mans fumble.Try again Broncos.

Every time I think of the Broncos I think of Eric Cartmans mom.

"honestly i'm not concerned with their offense, i mean who are we talking about jonathan stewart, greg olsen, ted ginn jr, and funchess are u serious? It's all about cam and we have team speed to stop him. Its our offense we need to stay turnover free! Would love to get a couple deep turnovers so we can play with a short field to get some cheap points. I"m very confident in this team especially the defense. We are battle tested and we can win any type of game. I agree with what chris carter said today yes cam is the mvp but he is not brady or rodgers meaning he can't throw like them. Keep him in the pocket and punish him. their skill position players are sub par I mean stewart isn't he like 44 years old i mean come on. But national media has it wrapped up already which is fine it will make the broncos victory feb 7 even better!"

This is mainly the Bronco's fan's I have argued with so far.  90% of them are morons as far as I can see.

Lol. I love it. I would love for Cam to sit in the pocket all night and hit 5 different receivers. Pressure him all you want, I don't think they'll be able to contain him. They're getting their excuses ready early I see.

Seriously though, after reading more and more, it's like they are trying to convince themselves not to worry.

"SOS was so weak!"

No poo Sherlock. Most teams that WIN 15 of their games end up with a weak opponent schedule due to it. YOU FAIL AT MATHS!! DERP!

"They're gonna overinflate their egos and that will win us the day!!"

Umm.. no. Just no. There's this guy named Ron Rivera. See guys, he's kind of been there, and done that as a player and coach - runs an even keel on his ship, and won't let them hype themselves up so much that it would affect their game. He keeps em focused extremely well, and keeps them loose by allowing them to be themselves. He's done this all year long, and for the most part, it's worked. So, sorry, but that prediction won't really fly, but we'll keep Riverboating along - toot, toot motherfugers!

"Both Seattle and Arizona imploded, rather than the Panthers beat them."

Well glory be, glad that they did us such a kind gesture and favored us with multiple mistakes that allowed us to reach the Superbowl. I mean, it's all due to Wilson's ego and Palmer's finger that they threw interception after interception, right? Had nothing to do with Tre Boston breaking on the Palmer route he read as a ballhawk, or KK disrupting their OL and smashing into Wilson's face like he was about rape and pillage him. Gosh golly, you're right!! It's not that we have had one of the best defenses against points scored the entire year. It was that those guys wanted to see us go instead of them! GENIUS!!

(What.. the.. everloving... fug... are... you.. guys... smoking??!)

"They're a very good team that took advantage of poor play and mistakes from their opponents."

Wait.. isn't that what great teams are supposed to do?? Would you rather they not take advanatage of them? Would that make them a tougher team to play then?? Again...

(What.. the.. everloving... fug... are... you.. guys... smoking??!)

"The Broncos are the more tested team IMO. Carolina has won a lot of blow outs, but close games, they have not been in that many. Seems close games is all the Broncos have been in this year."

Umm...you think we earned the nickname 'The Cardiac Cats' by accident? This team has seen more close games, and survived and won many of them than just about any other team in the lague. Not this year, but just last year we won some very close games. The year prior, we won even more which were less than a touchdown. Clue here for you: Quite a few of those guys are still on our team, and know how to win them.

"Scam and the cats.."

Oh jeez.. another one of those guys.... seriously, can your two brain cells left come up with something... ANYTHING... more original than 'Scam?' I mean, it's not like we haven't heard that one a bazillion times Corky. Try a little harder.. I'm sure you can do so without popping a blood vessel in your forehead... maybe.. I think... just be careful! I'd be sad to find out you gave yourself a stroke or something trying. At least for a whole three seconds - Promise!!

lol Raskle, no need to list our games. Just ask the only question there is in response to this:

Wonder why? What's the reason for all the close games?

    • Jack Roslovic: Only 2 other UFA, right-handed centers age 28 or under had more points (39) than him- Sam Bennett (51) and Pius Suter (46). There were 4 other centers age 33 and older who scored more: Gireaux (37), Marchand (37), Tavares (34), Granlund (33).  Unless the Canes go old, if they let Jack walk, they won't get a center who scored more.  Thoughts?
    • nope     This is why we come back every year.  Hope springs eternal
    • It's important to differentiate criticism and hate. I can't speak for that individual you quoted. But most people who have been critical of the Tepper's have been so because both of them have made it a point to put themselves front and center and in the middle of team operations and we have been largely horrific more often than not as a result. If people are making derogatory remarks about her that should be met with an appropriate response but if people are being defensive just because she's being criticized all I can say is people should get used to it. Both her and David would have been getting absolutely skewered by the media and the fans if this were a big market franchise. The Lakers are finally being sold off after years and years of public criticism of Jeannie Buss and even though I'm the furthest you could go from being a Lakers fan just about anyone you could meet who is familiar with the NBA would say the criticism was certainly valid.
