Around this time a year ago, Brandon Wegher was worried about how he was going to take care of his fiance and his young son.

In a little over a week, he'll be standing on the sideline as part of a team playing in the Super Bowl.

If you watched NFL Network's "Undrafted", you saw just how hard Brandon Wegher was willing to work toward his dream of playing in the NFL.  More than one observer commented that Wegher's work ethic was on a whole other level than what they were used to seeing.  The effort paid off when Wegher got a chance to go to training camp with the Carolina Panthers, and he showed enough in preseason to win a spot on the final 53 man roster.

Wegher won't get to play in the Super Bowl, but he'll be there.  And the team is said to like his future potential.

So who knows?  If the Panthers make it back to the Super Bowl again in the near future, maybe Brandon Wegher will have a chance to play an active role.

One thing I wouldn't doubt: Whatever happens, he'll do what he needs to do.

I'm slightly disappointed we didn't see more of him this year... but that would have meant we had gotten down to 5th on the depth chart, so I will absolutely take that instead.

I think he has a bright future in front of him, and I am excited for him to be a part of this right now.

NFL pays for 150 SB rings for the winning team and the team can distribute them at their discretion. The winning team can typically present rings to whomever they choose, including usually to players (active roster or injured), coaches, trainers, executives, personnel, and general staff. Some teams have also been known to give rings to former players and coaches that were on the team at some point during the season, despite not having been on the winning roster for the Super Bowl itself. Sometimes a team will give rings to fans as part of a charity raffle.

They can also make B or C versions of the rings to give to "lower" employees...secretaries etc. And of course they can purchase more of the A rings beyond the 150. I think JR will hand out rings like Oprah.

I liked Todman as well, he did OK with the Steelers. It's a moot point though as neither he nor Wegher would have seen actual play time, and I think Wegher probably has the most upside in the future.

I think todman would have played, the race would have been between him and Fozzy and without Fozzy that opened the door for CAP and Todman to play
