Cam Newton and Panthers cards are hot on eBay

With all hype Cam is getting now with the MVP and Super Bowl ahead, his rookie cards have been raising in prices throughout the season.

I've got a few of these cards, notably the Rookie Playoff ticket. I'm thinking about unloading if we win the Super Bowl....but it might be better to hang on to see how much more they can gain if we make it back.

Take a look at what Cam's rookie autograph cards are going for now: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=cam+newton+rookie+auto&rt=nc&LH_Auction=1

I'm not selling my cards,  Manning, Rodgers, Brady rookie cards are like gold and Newton will join that elite company.

Ok cool, I was hoping you'd comment because I don't know much about the market.

I have about 10 rookie autos I was thinking of selling, but yeah if he continues to excel like we expect I imagine they will only go up.

Cmon Jason, you know better than to say this

Cam's top rookie cards will never come close to holding their value like those three, and it has nothing to do with Cam.

All 3 of them have very few nice rookie cards, SIGNIFICANTLY less than Cam.  There are only a few "high end" rookies of those three guys, while Cam has probably 10 different "high end" products with another 30 other standard products he was in.

Do you know why the Panini Rookie Ticket is so popular? It's a 300 print run, so it's not super rare. But it seems to be one of the higher prices cards out there.

I bought a hobby box of 2011 sp authentic, hoping for a Cam auto rookie...well, I got a Cam rookie card, but no autograph.

I dud, however, get a 2-color swatch autographed rookie of Andy Dalton,...so I did pretty good considering

Looking through those rookies in '11, I'm amazed at how stacked that draft-class was.

Well worth the 135$ I sprung for the box and I got my only Cam rookie card since I gave up collecting years and years ago.

That Cam auto with the Panther Logo is super-sweet. If I could've pulled something like that out of a pack I'd be jumping up and down running around the house like a crazy person.

The Contenders?

It's the product, Contenders, Chrome, National Treasures, Five Star, Exquisite, they're the big ones that are most wanted in the hobby.

I've been lucky enough to pull 5 Cam rookie autos myself, sold one of them since it was a dual auto with Mark Ingram, but have kept the rest of course.

Cam's cards will probably never be higher than they are now, regardless of how his career goes from here.

Selling them using the "buy now" feature is your best bet.

if the Panthers lose tomorrow his cards will take a considerable hit, imo.

Im a Panthers fan, so I hold on to Panther and all former UNC player's cards, regardless of their value.

The most favorite card in my collection is probably LaDanian Tomlinsons Rookie Debut on card auto rookie card. My '89 Score Barry Sanders RC and my '86 Topps Jerry Rice RC.

I don't have the '86 Jordan Rookie or any of his auto's...if I had one of those, that would be my fav...oh well.

I mainly collected baseball cards as a kid. In '88 I did trade a buddy of mine a Ricky Henderson rookie for an 86 Fleer Jordan.

I still have it.

I compare Cam to Aaron Rodgers they both have close to the same amount of rookie cards in the modern card era.. Rodgers Sage card's still sell in the hundreds and he has one SB ring. If Cam blows this up tomorrow and continues to win I'd hate to be the guy who sold to early. If we lose Cam's cards will take a huge hit, it's a gamble.  Thank god I only collect for the fun if I was making a living out of this I'd be living under a bridge. Lol.

If you need the money then sell and sell now if not enjoy the ride.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
