We could trade Klein for a high (2nd or 3rd round) draft pick, probably wouldn't even stay with us after this year anyways so would be nice to get something for him. Beast is still effective when healthy and he wouldn't get hurt as a backup most likely. Wouldn't hurt to have that veteran depth and locker room presence for vet. min.

Is that you Marty?

We drafted Mayo to learn the LB positons and take over for Klein when he rides off for a good 2nd contract.

Also, can Beason play special teams?  If not, who takes over for that missing spot?

It's just not a good idea to bring in another player at LB who is long in the tooth, when you already have TD on the roster.

With Star, TD, Luke, and KK, I don't think that the defense needs anymore vet help.  The offense....that's a different story.

I'll echo everyone's sentiments that he would be a tremendous addition to the organization. Regardless, I hope he ends up coaching/mentoring young players in some capacity. His leadership qualities and football IQ would benefit many.

Also, let's take a moment to remember how pumped we were after watching this video way back when:

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
