Hunter Henry | Will Redmond

The offense was rolling through the season until Miller and Ware pawned the tackles all night long, even then the offense was in close range of scoring tds if it wasn't for the costly TOs. When the 30th pick comes up,  Henry from Arkansas could be BPA  & fill needs. Henry is this years premier TE who exels as a pass catcher and run blocker for a career high  51 catches for 739 yards and 3 TDs with 0 drops. Being a msstate alumni I got to watch Henry in a cardicats like game between Arkansas and Mssate with a high score of 51-50. Henry played a consistent game to keep Razorbacks in till the last second.

The defense took a step back when Bene & Tillman went down,but it didn't appear that bad with the LB corps covering up the missed assignments. With the return of  a healthy Bene & Norman on the outside, the CB position should become a strength with this years draft. Redmond has the fast twitch muscle to play against quick recievers like Lockett but his tackling teqhniques needs to be coahed up. BTW it doen't hurt when you have the best LB corp to learn from.

I like Henry a lot.  Everything I'm reading from "analysts" and "draft gurus" as well as from Third Leg Greg himself is much less high on him than I am, though.

I was dismayed at first when I saw Henry only got 12 reps on bench, but then I remembered we have the best strength coach in House. For years we've had either/or at tight end (pass catcher or blocker) but never truly both. This guy could be both.

I've watched every College game Hunter has played.  He reminds me of Olsen.  Now, I'm not comparing the two because he has a lot to learn to become a pro like Olsen.  He gets open.  Catches the tough balls.  Gets yards after the catch.  He is also a good blocker.  

Someone is going to get a great player  I doubt he falls that far.

We have to beef up. I only wish we went more 2 TE sets and just power rann that bitch against Denver. Its something that need to happen more  IMO

I'm thinking he'll be there until early 2nd.  Not because he's not a 1st round talent, but because there's so many really good defensive players in this draft, and so many teams needing to upgrade that side of the ball.

So far most of the mock drafts I've seen have him falling to the 2nd.  That of course could change after the combine and new Big Board rankings by the various sites.

Speaking of TE's, Jonathan Jones has an article at the Observer re: Combine winners & losers.

He mentions a TE from Harvard, Ben Braunecker, who apparently really impressed during the Combine.

Obviously the quality of Harvard's competition isn't the same as for a lot of other schools.... (I say that as one who's watched a lot of Princeton football over the years with family members... I enjoy Ivy League football, but it's not exactly SEC or Big10...)

So even if the guy's a great athlete, it might not mean he's got the best experience as a TE.  But he'd be pretty sure to have football smarts, which is something our coaches love.

Idk much about him but Henry played with the big boys in the SEC and he is the most complete TE. The biggest reason he would be the best fit is his ability to block and help the OTs out. When you can stay on the field 99% of the snaps your value to the team goes up significantly!
