Lets get this out the way, Panthers Are Not Going To The SB Without Josh

I would love to poo all over the OP. But, I do believe he has gotten enough crap for me to be happy.

Kids...if you got em' you probably love em'. But the rest of us get real tired of them real quick. They should be seen and not heard. Unfortunately, with the advent of the interwebz, kids now have a forum, he he, to voice their childish rants.

this is what, the third or fourth time something like this has happened?  gettleman is the guy that released steve smith, deangelo williams, and charles johnson.  he let greg hardy walk for nothing and he freaking loves d-linemen.

frankly this shouldn't be overly shocking to anyone.  the suddenness of it probably should be, but not the concept.

honestly if this completely explodes in his face and we have the worst pass defense in the league next season and josh norman returns a game-clinching pick six against us in our home opener i'd just chalk it up to the law of averages finally catching up with gettleman rather than an outrageously dumb move.

Well if that's the case I think the law of averages caught up with him awhile back when Steve Smith wiped the field with our defense as a Raven.

I don't really think you can lump this in with the releases of say Williams, and Johnson. Both were underwhelming substantially considering their cost to put it kindly. Hardy was obviously missing a few things upstairs combined with the domestic violence incident.

I imagine he has a few potential tricks up his sleeve next week in the draft.

You just said there's no chance the Panthers are going to the Super Bowl this year.

that was something painful that had to be done for this franchise to move forward.  it might be convenient for my gettlefandom but that's how i think about the steve smith thing.  yeah that sucked but i look at it like a nasty shot delivered with a wide bore needle.

Op overreacted but there's little reasoning behind rescinding the offer, if im correct it gives josh two options sign or sit, siting at his age would only hurt him, along with being fined(if I'm correct). DG knows what he's doing majority of the time but this just seems too risky of a move, up there with going into the season with Nate chandler at tackle

The Panthers don't need any defeatists in their corner before they even play a single game.

In case you don't know what you are:

de·feat·ist
dəˈfēdəst/
noun
plural noun: defeatists
  1. a person who expects or is excessively ready to accept failure.
synonyms: pessimist, fatalist, cynic, prophet of doom, doomster; More

    • Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season.   Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush.  The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
