Haven't bought the game real recently. I downloaded the free trial  they are doing for '16 though this weekend and while there are some fun improvements (throwing the deep ball actually being possible for one) I still don't know if I can bring myself to buy it this year.

For starters, why is the ea sports logo plastered everywhere all throughout the game.

One of the many things that kills the immersion. They want to make the game more realistic. "Everything you see on sunday". But how is that possible when it says "This game is brought to you by ea sports".

Costs money to use images of real world products.  Snickers at one point was plastered everywhere.

They still have the exclusivity contract which I'd assume means they could use an NFLN broadcast style, and I'd wager they still have the ESPN license as well.

They could use that and it wouldn't cost them a nickel. They don't for the sole reason that they want the EA sports logo plastered everywhere.

11 years later still getting beat by NFL 2k5 in the presentation department. Hell you can still find roster updates for that game.

You can't have someones OVERALL rating be based upon 1 game (super bowl.) Everyone except for Ealy played bad in the Super Bowl

I wasn't basing it off of the Super Bowl at all .. Just his lack of everything when he's on the field .. He shouldn't even be a pro bowl player but since the NFL doesn't have actual FBs he gets the nod .. Maybe it's his dancing .. Idk

This is what you think they are or what you think they will be in the game?

Because assuming that buccaneers fan is still their ratings guy, I can assure you they won't be giving Cam 98 overall

Hes currently 98 ovr on madden 16

he doesnt do them anymore

So since our roster is basically set (until we get more UFA's) and I am bored as almighty HELL (offseason blues.) I have decided to do a Madden roster overall rating. From a scale of 0-99 rating. 0-69 being shite 70-73 below average 74-79 average 80-84 above average 85-91 good 92-98 great and 99 being God. I have ranked each player (except for un-notable UDFA's.) To what I would rate their overall grade on Madden 17 (Note this is their overall grade. There is different ratings for a different skill/physical ability. This is just what their overall grade tally's up to. For instance Cam Newton would have 99 Throwing Power but only 88 Deep Accuracy. And Luke would have 99 Tackling but 76 man coverage but 96 zone coverage.)
