So I just bought the Anova Precision cooker.

It is on sale, $50 off through May 7th on the link below ($130).  Apparently it is a an easy way to cook restaurant quality food.  This model  has a pretty cool Bluetooth app that controls the cooker.  My friend swears by it for steak, chicken, burgers, BBQ, etc.  I figure I will give it a try and post my reactions.  They also have a wifi model, that is $169.

Most "restaurant quality" food is the result of quality food and ingredients, and the right combination of each, not the cooking apparatus.

The best chefs in the world use not a lot more than gas ranges, ovens and flat tops. Few little gadgets and tricks here and there, but the basics have always served them well.

Put a beautiful filet in a bag and poach it for 2 hours?

And I thought trading up to draft a kicker was stupid.....

I don't know how many people would do that.  The cuts of steak that benefit the most are the naturally less tender cuts.

    • I suspect it is Burrow’s way of expressing frustration at the current state and direction of the team and basically saying - sort it out, or I’m out. Now that could be retirement, or it could be him wanting out via a trade, either way, shots fired. That said, I know that coverage has changed over the years and become more 24/7. We also have a generation (mine included) that talk more about needing to enjoy their careers rather than simply fulfilling the obligation of working. With that in mind, it would be interesting to compare how the QBs of the 70s, 80s and 90s would talk and handle things in a world where the cameras and coverage doesn’t stop. It would be interesting to see how they’d handle things compared to modern day athletes.
    • Bryce is such a little bitch......NO TDs in the Superdome that's pathetic!  "Bad Bryce" is usually the one that shows up obviously from those numbers and the eyeball test. I'm rooting for the Panthers all day everyday obviously but I have 0.00000% faith in Bryce Young winning us this game Sunday and to say that about your starting QB is telling.
    • True. He's pretty mediocre at check downs.
