They need a SG. I'd like to see OKC try to move Ibaka/Kanter for one; probably Ibaka.

They should definitely trade Ibaka, he looks washed up somehow. They never should have matched Kanter honestly, they're going to hvae to pay Steven Adams really soon. 

Interesting decision they have on Waiters too. If I had to guess what they'd do I think they'll resign Waiters and play it back next year, they've been relying on natural progression for several years now.

This would be lame.  In my opinion, that would be taking a HUGE chance that the Celtics could put together a team better than the Thunder.  That's a silly bet to take, considering you was just ONE game from the finals.

If he bails on the Thunder, I'd probably just start to hate him, I couldn't imagine losing a player like that as a Hornets fan.   It's not like the Thunder is fielding bad teams every year out there.

Give it a rest. 

Boston's best player is a 5'9 point guard. Heck, talent-wise a healthy Hornets team is better than the Celtics.

You think Durant is really going to pass up playing with Westbrook to go to Boston?

Their best chance at acquiring a bonafide star would be via the trade market, but fewer and fewer teams are wanting to take on their underwhelming draft spots, forcing them to build a roster of nice, but ultimately limited young players.

Don't get the Boston hate...to me, any FA would be VERY smart to head to Boston. Brad Stevens just took a team with one borderline All-Star, no shooting, and mostly trash and castoff players to the playoffs. KD, Isiah, another FA, plus the young guys/draft picks they currently have...in the East? They're immediately the 2 seed at worst for the next couple years. Take the 3rd pick as the centerpiece of a deal and turn it into Boogie Cousins or Jahlil Okafor and go to battle. 

 

They wouldn't have to be "better" than the Thunder necessarily...they'd be in the East where Lebron/the Cavs could easily take a step back in the next couple of years and waltz to the Finals a few years in a row.

It is just the sting of how they lost and essentially having the series in their hands at home down the stratch in Game 6.  If they had been down 3-1, come back and then lost Game 7 then they would be looking at it differently.  It will feel better the further away they get from the loss.

      I mean, you're acting like we don't see the tippy-toe bunny hops, jump throws more than normal (with both feet dangling in the air every which a way), and off-platform but off-balance throws that arrive short or sail high. Could that be bad mechanics due to being short? Could a seeming propensity to bail the pocket towards the sidelines early as opposed to sitting in the pocket tall and strong, surveying his reads, be an attempt at trying to see an open throwing lane? I'm not saying that what you're saying isn't a contributing factor to what has been an underwhelming display of executing the QB position, but this is year three, and if the lightbulb hasn't switched on by now---if you haven't figured out that guys are faster, stronger and generally more athletic, then what's it going to take? It's hard to forget that "mental processing" was supposed to be Bryce Young's superpower. Are you telling me that he can't nail down such an easy concept as, "I can't get away with the things I did in college at the pro level," is that right? If he can't get past that, then that surely limits his ability to successfully execute all the other stuff.  Look, I'm not trying to be flippant. I acknowledge that playing pro football is more complex than a lot of fans realize, but all we can do, as fans, is observe. One of my favorite things to do is just look at the greater picture and think what part human nature is playing in the many decisions that are being made or have to be made. You're absolutely correct that fans don't know exactly what's going on, but that is by design, and in many ways it's just the nature of the beast. Some things we can't know. That being said, the professionals screw the hell up all the time. The professionals disagree all the time. These disagreements can be within the same franchise or from franchise to franchise. And sometimes these decisions are all over the place, so excuse me if I ain't exactly buying the I-know-more-than-thee sentiment and that that means that professionals always make better decisions than fans would about certain players. Some of this stuff is simply luck or a crapshoot.
